SONOSCREEN for cost efficient screening Ultrasonic Screening Technology SCREENING
Ultrasonic Screening Technology Screening and processing can be achieved with either manual, semi-automatic or fullyautomatic technologies and over various screening stages. The most important aspect of screening, therefore, is the technology. The appropriate technology is instrumental in determining throughput, particle size and separation efficiency etc., with the finest mesh size and materials difficult to screen. This applies in particular to production facilities in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, plastics, metallurgy and minerals industries. In such industries, there is a strong demand for an extremely high screening standard with minimum waste. SONOSCREEN - vibratory screening machine with ultrasonic screening system Conventional screening technologies are based essentially on a vibrating/tumbling motion of the screen responsible for throughput and separation of oversized particles. Ultrasonic Screening Technology superimposes an additional, even, oscillation motion in the µm range on the fabric of the screen. For this process to achieve a high throughput, sound must be evenly distributed below the screen fabric. The Ultrasonic Screening Technology is used with a wide variety of powders
SONOSCREEN Standard Screening System On the SONOSCREEN standard screening system, the screen fabric is excited from a central source. The homogenous sound distribution outside and inside of the resonator-ring causes a consistent increase in the screening performance over the entire surface of the screen. Even very large screen frames of diameters up to 2600 mm can be evenly excited using several ring resonators. The patented SONOSCREEN technology enables square, oval and circular screen frames to be retrofitted with ultrasound. This system is therefore suitable for upgrading all tumbling and vibratory screening machines. In the Food-Industry the Ultrasonic Screening Technology is well known SONOSCREEN Standard Screen The benefits Significantly improved screening performance Far less risk of the screen fabric becoming blinded, ensuring constant throughput and particles size distribution Smaller mesh sizes offer equivalent or higher throughputs Higher capacity utilisation and improved separation effect Accelerates decomposition of agglomerates, thereby improving capacity utilisation and reducing the number of large particles The screening machines no longer require mechanical cleaning or auxiliary devices, (eg. ball decks or ring trays) thus eliminating foreign particles in the screened product Longer life of the screenfabric Patented resonators ensure homogenous sound distribution, even with large screen frame diameters (up to 2600 mm) Low, constant operating temperature and no local heat zones Screen frame with integral screen resonators can be covered and glued by the user Unbeatable price/performance ratio, resulting in a quick return on investment Maintenance-free Can be retrofitted into any vibratory or tumbling screening machine ATEX gas and dust explosion proof versions available
Applications Highly attractive advantages can be achieved, with the following dry bulk solids in mesh ranges of 20-1000 µm. - Metal Powders - Chemical Powders - Metal Oxides - Pigments - Glass Sand - Cosmetic Powders - Mica - Artificial Sweeteners - Silicon Oxide - Sugar - Gypsum - Spices - Toner Powders - Starch - Enamel Powders - and many more - Pharmaceutical Powders The quality of chemical and pharmaceutical powders can be increased with an Ultrasonic Screen The fully sealed components within the screening machine allow the screen to be cleaned by spraying or immersion. CSS 100 the screening system for Powder coating Applications Optimum mixture of fresh and recycling powders Short cleaning time with color change An ultrasonic system for several screens thanks to bolt-on screen converter Standard mesh sizes (Stainless steel wire mesh) You can trust the CSS 100 A newly developed ultrasonic screen also enables powder system and plant manufacturers to optimise flow screening in terms of flotation and reducing sintering. The process of powder coating involves having to provide easy-to-clean screening systems due to the frequent dye changes. To solve this problem, TELSONIC has developed a ring resonator that is not mounted on the screen fabric. Instead it is designed as a frame for the fabric cover and can be easily integrated into the powder system. 63-80 µm High-end coating in the automotive industry and thin layer powder 95 µm High quality components in the automotive supplier industry 125 µm Superior quality, screening of many powder types in the powder manufacturing process 140 µm Standard value for most powder types > 140 µm Difficult powder types, wax, several metallic types The benefits of the CSS 100 are: Constant screen cleaning using ultrasound enables a consistently high throughput Larger powder volumes with less compressed air Lower air speed means soft transportation of the powder through the pump and pipework Evenly distributed powder delivery from the nozzle, thus achieving a homogenous coating Ultrasonic Screening Technology for Powder Coating
