Operation Air Exhaust Duct and Air Intake Duct Since the unit is a portable air conditioner, it can move from one room to another easily. You can set up the ducting in the ways listed below to intake outer air and exhaust heated air: 1. Intake outer air and exhaust heated air from a window Air Intake Duct Air Exhaust Duct Open the window to fit the plastic ducting outside window and secure them out of the window. 2. Intake outer air and exhaust heated air from the door Air Intake Duct Air Exhaust Duct Open the door to fit the plastic ducting and secure them outside of the door. Warning: The air exhaust duct must be placed above the air intake duct Duct can be placed on the ground safely When finished using the unit, remove the ducts and store them carefully 10

Operation 1. The duct can be extended from 20 to 78, however, the shorter the exhaust duct, the better the performance. 2. The air exhaust duct must be placed above the air intake duct. 3. Make sure the heat exhaust duct is not kinked or bent, this can cause blockage in the exhaust duct and cause back flow, triggering the auto shut-off mechanism. 4. In order to make sure the air intake duct functions properly, please do not put any objects around the duct. Otherwise the air conditioner will fail to remove the hot air and cool the condensor. This will also cause the compressor to auto shut off. 5. Follow all specifications, or the unit will not function properly. 11

Maintenance & Trouble Shooting Turn off unit before cleaning to prevent electric shock Unplug power cord to prevent electric shock Don t use chemical solvent (like benzene, alcohol) to clean the unit s surface. Otherwise, the unit s surface can be easily damaged. If the air filter is blocked, the unit will not function properly. Please clean air filter at least once every few weeks to avoid clogs. To open the air filter: 1. Open the air filter cover and remove air filter cover. 2. Remove air filter from filter cover. To clean the air filter Wash the air filter by immersing it gently into warm water with a neutral detergent. Fully rinse the filter and allow to dry completely before re-inserting. 12

Maintenance & Trouble Shooting Use soft cloth to clean surface, and remove all moisture before using. Drainage: This portable air conditioner collects moisture from the air. If the humidity around the machine is low, the water in the unit will be completely vaporized by the condenser. There will be less water in the tank, and there will be no need to drain the water tank. But, if the humidity around the unit is heavy, the unit will capture more water, and the water will not be able to be vaporized by the condense r. When the water tank is full, the machine will shut off, and an alarm will sound. The LCD display will show E4. Then the machine will stop after the fan keeps working for 3 minutes. In order to drain the water in the water tank, please do the following: 1. Put the water drain tray under the machine. 2. Remove the drain cap underneath the back of the unit. 3. Drain all the water in the water tank. 4. Re-fasten the drain cap. Safety & Special Guidelines Do not use unit near gas appliances, fires, or near flammable or combustible liquids Do not incline the unit while moving Do not mishandle or shake the unit Keep the unit one yard away from televisions or radios to avoid electromagnetic interference Do not place air exhaust duct too close to walls to avoid overheating of unit Do not use unit in crowded areas Avoid direct sunlight on unit to retain color Do not use the unit in water or near water to avoid electric shock If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a certified technician Do not spray insecticide or other chemicals to avoid damaging the plastic housing To prolong the life of the unit, please make sure water tank is emptied completely before it is stored When using the auto-drain for a long period of time, please connect the drainage pipe When there are problems with the unit, please stop using it and ask for advice from your local dealer or manufacturer. After running the unit for an extended period of time, there will be dust in the air intake duct and it could effect the efficiency of the unit. We suggest cleaning the air intake duct and the air filter occasionally or asking for advice from your local dealer. When the unit begins to work inefficiently, is broken, or other problems arise, please turn off and unplug the unit and request service from your local service provider. 14
