Traffic congestion along Chatsworth Street. No SMART traffic signals provided in Granada Hills. Traffic congestion on all ingress and egress from 405 & 118 freeways. PARKING Parking deficiencies with Density Bonus incentives. Insufficient parking for business along Chatsworth Street. Compact spaces are inconveniently located. Insufficient parking for multiple family dwellings. Parking lots are unsightly. Insufficient parking in all public parks in Granada Hills. PEDESTRIANS Inadequate pedestrian environment along Chatsworth Street Granada Hill's "Main Street". Not enough time for pedestrians to cross at signalized intersections. Poor pedestrian safety on all streets. FREEWAYS Good access to freeways. Freeway noise from the 405 and 118 freeways. IMPROVEMENTS Poor street and sidewalk paving conditions. CIRCULATION COMMERCIAL & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IMPROVEMENTS Stop signs are preferred over street bumps/humps. Not enough street lighting. The paving of alleys are in poor condition. PUBLIC TRANSIT Poor bus and transit services to the Granada Hills community. Balboa Blvd and other major streets have poor public transportation. Inadequate amount of quality sit down restaurants. No enforcement of sign requirements. No pedestrian friendly commercial corridors. Inadequate amount of quality commercial areas along Balboa Boulevard and Devonshire Street. No buffers to residences from commercial areas. No hospital and no urgent care facilities. Bars are a problem. No Senior Centers. Footnote 19 needs to be revised especially for heights in commercial areas. Chatsworth Street is Granada Hills' "Main Street". Keep Small town feel in the community. Parking lots in poor condition and are not being maintained to a set standard. Add architectural style Mid-Century architectural styles. Granada Hills Specific Plan and Guidelines are insufficient. Need more quality shopping and restaurants in Granada Hills. Wireless Towers are unsightly. Smoke Shops are a problem. Plan Text. Page 2 of 5

HISTORIC & CULTURAL RESOURCES The landscape along White Oak is beautiful. Balboa Highlands Tract is historic since built by Joseph Eichler and it should be preserved. OPEN SPACE & PARKS PUBLIC & COMMUNITY SERVICES Hiking trails in O'Melveny Park are insufficient. Knollwood Golf Course is in good condition and should continue as such. Graffiti problems on recreation buildings. Insufficient trees along the major streets in Granada Hills. All equestrian trails in Granada Hills are endangered by developments. Insufficient recreation facilities at Zelzah Park. Good response time of LAPD and LAFD. Schools and libraries are in poor condition. The Sunshine Canyon landfill is an odor problem to schools and nearby homes. A hospital is needed in Granada Hills Potential traffic problems for the new high school on Balboa Blvd. and San Jose Street. Do not widen San Fernando Mission Boulevard. Poor DWP infrastructure maintenance. Poor alley way conditions. Poor sidewalk conditions especially near schools. Traffic flow problems on Balboa Boulevard. Poor high school security to lead to lockdowns. Insufficient park facilities maintenance. Not enough street lighting. Poor access to hiking trails. The replacement of dead, dying or diseased trees takes too long. Some Utilities are above ground. Plan Text. Page 3 of 5

PUBLIC & COMMUNITY SERVICES Insufficient landscaping for commercial projects. Historic trees such as eucalyptus, pine, deodars cedars, orange, and catalpa trees are endangered. Insufficient access to and from Granada Hills from Sesnon Street over Aliso Canyon to Porter Ranch. Poor maintenance of street trees community wide. Inadequate parking at the Granada Hills Library and Park. RESIDENTIAL URBAN DESIGN Residential construction pollution problems in neighborhoods. Street venders causing traffic problems, children safety, and littering. Eichler Houses need to be protected. Rural areas and K-District overlays along the Western boundary of Granada Hills are endangered by development. Outside residential developments such as the Cascades, effect Granada Hills. Parking problems in residential areas. Footnote 12 is confusing and need clarification to preserve the hillside properties as one and two acre parcels. Granada Hills low density developments are endanger of being developed into higher densities. Zoning code is a problem in residential areas. Wildlife corridors are in danger. Higher density is preferred near commercial areas south of Rinaldi Street. No affordable Senior housing available. RD6 zone should be removed from single family general plan areas. Single family areas are endangered by higher density development. Granada Hills Specific Plan and Guidelines are old and outdated. There are no design guidelines for all areas of Granada Hills. There are no guidelines to protect the historic Eichler Homes. The maximum height of new residential projects are too high. Poor landscape maintenance of some residences. Plan Text. Page 4 of 5
