The working principle of turnstile system (1) Turn on turnstile system power; the system will perform power on self test; buzzer alarms for prompting. After the alarm, system goes into standby mode; turnstile gate closes; passageway status indicator turns green and direction indicator turns red. (2) User gives a valid opening signal (access control system swiping-card open signal, or turnstile system open button signal) for IN/OUT direction to main control board. (3) After main control board receives a valid opening signal for IN/OUT direction, it sends control signal to sub-panel control board, motor control board, passageway status indicator and direction indicator. The IN/OUT direction indicator will turn from red to green; and OUT/IN 5 / 27

passageway status indicator will turn from green to red, then turnstile gate opens to let user pass through. (4) User passes through the turnstile according to direction indicator, and infrared sensors will detect the entire process when user is passing and send user s position signal to main control board. After user finishes passing through, main control board sends control signal to sub-panel control board, motor control board, passageway status indicator and direction indicator, then turnstile gate closes and the system enters into standby mode; passageway status indicator turns green and direction indicator turns red. (5) If user doesn t provide a valid opening signal and then go into the passageway, the system will lock flaps to forbid passing; at the same time, buzzer will alarm until user leaves the passageway. 6. Product installation, inspection and tests 6.1 Product installation (1) Prepare necessary tools for installing turnstile and choose the auxiliary parts according to packing list. (2) Confirm the system constitution and operating mode. Get ready to install after finishing system planning. (3) Drill holes after confirming the positions. Pre-bury (N+1)*8 M10 expansion bolts as shown in Figure 6.1. Note: N means the lane quantity. 6 / 27

Figure 6.1 (4) Put both strong power and weak power cables into 3/4 PVC tube, and bury them to the suitable positions. (5) Move housing cabinets respectively to the installing positions, making them align with the anchor bolts. (6) Check the system structure and operating mode. (7) Open one housing cabinet and choose one turnstile as a reference (It is recommended to choose the middle unit as a reference). Respectively align the drill holes of bolts on the chassis with anchor bolts and then tighten the nuts tentatively. (8) Open the adjacent turnstile housing.
