Do not obstruct the ventilation system in the place where the appliance is to be installed 5) Do not obstruct the vents on this appliance. 6) This appliance is designed for cooking foodstuffs and is intended for commercial use only; any other usage may be considered improper and could void warranty. 7) This appliance is not suitable for use in marine craft or caravans 8) Do not leave appliance unattended when in use. 9) Persons using this appliance must be competent 10) Do not leave appliance unattended when in use. 11) Failure to observe the above instructions may compromise the safety of the appliance and could void warranty. PACKAGING: Carefully remove any packaging or protective film from metal surfaces. The appliance is supplied already assembled. Ensure the grease tray is correctly positioned and the spit spear will locate into the keyway of the rotisserie motor. CLEANING THE APPLIANCE: Turn appliance off and allow it to cool down before cleaning Use warm soapy water to clean appliance, DO NOT WET THE FRONT OF THE BURNER. 1) Do not use products containing chlorine, (sodium hypochlorite, hydrochloric or muriatic acid etc.), to clean this appliance. 2) Do not use scourers or metal tools to clean metal or plastic parts, (i.e. wire brushes or Scotch-Brite type scouring pads). 3) Do not allow oil or grease to come into contact with plastic parts 4) Do not allow dirt, fat or food particles to form deposits on this appliance; always clean the grease receptacle after each use or as required during use. 5) Do not clean this appliance with direct jets of water. 6) When cleaning is complete ensure all parts are correctly re-assembled and light each burner to ensure correct operation. Your appliance will look better and last longer if you keep it clean. Remove the grease tray by a) lifting the meat skewer and b) lifting the tray away from its position. Empty grease contents into a suitable disposable container. Clean the tray and wipe off excess grease, wash with warm soapy water and dry the surface. THE BURNER SURFACE IS SELF CLEANING AND DOES NOT REQUIRE ATTENTION - DO NOT WET THE BURNER. An accessible isolation valve must be fitted at the appliance inlet connection. THE REGULATOR SUPPLED WITH THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE FITTED BETWEEN THE ISOLATION VALVE AND APPLIANCE INLET CONNECTION POINT. CONNECTING THE GAS SUPPLY: The installation of this appliance must be carried out by an authorised licenced gas fitter in accordance with these instructions, local gas fitting regulations, AS 5601 Gas Installation code and any other relevant statutory regulations. Check the gas type label on this appliance or refer to the appliance data plate located on the side of this appliance to determine the gas type. This appliance can be connected using an AGA approved gas hose certified to AS 1869 (class B or D). The hose should have a maximum length of 1.2 metres and should have an internal diameter large enough to convey the correct amount of gas to the appliance. A restraining chain should be fitted to limit strain on the hose assembly. For installation purposes, the minimum clearance to a combustible surface is 1,000mm side and rear. TO BE INSTALLED UNDER A CANOPY IN ACCORDANCE WITH AS 5601 This appliance must be installed on a fire proof bench surface which is capable of supporting the appliance weight.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION: When the appliance requires an electrical connection, the installation must comply with the local electrical authority rules & regulations INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS, (CONT). When the installation of this appliance is completed: 1) Check for leaks with a soapy water solution DO NOT CHECK FOR GAS LEAKS WITH A NAKED FLAME! 2) Set the test point pressure to that shown on the appliance data plate using the following method: Turn the gas off then attach a manometer tube to the test point located on the outlet side of the regulator, attach the other end of the tube to a manometer and carefully turn the gas on. Adjust the pressure to 1.00 Kpa for Natural Gas and 2.70 Kpa for Universal LPG, (while 50% of the burners are operating). 3) Test the operation of the appliance by lighting all burners and adjusting as necessary 4) If once installed, the appliance does not appear to be operating correctly, turn the gas off and contact your supplier or a suitably qualified service technician. IMPORTANT NOTE: THE CORRECT PIPE SIZE MUST BE USED TO CONNECT THIS APPLIANCE, PLEASE REFER TO AS 5601 APPENDIX F FOR THE CORRECT METHODS OF SIZING GAS PIPING SYSTEMS. At the same time depress the ignitor switch; the spark should ignite the gas. 4) Keep the burner control knob depressed for 30 seconds to allow the safety mechanism in the gas valve to energise 5) If burner remains alight, turn on next burner using the same method 6) If burner goes out; wait 5 minutes to allow any unburnt gas to disperse and repeat the above steps. 7) Adjust the gas flow to each burner by turning the knob to the desired position MODELS- KMB2, KMB3, KMB4 & KMB5: 1) Ensure the gas supply valve is on 2) (starting at the top burner): turn the gas burner control valve on and depress the knob 3) Using a lighter or match, light the burner 4) Keep the burner control knob depressed for 30 seconds to allow the safety mechanism in the gas valve to energise. 5) If burner remains alight, turn on the next burner using the same method 6) If burner goes out: wait 5 minutes to allow any unburnt gas to disperse and repeat the above steps 7) Adjust the gas flow to each burner by turning the knob to the desired position Keep children and the infirm away from this appliance, surfaces may be very hot and grease may splatter or flare during operation.
