GKF 1400 and 1400L - Reliability in production For more than six decades GKF capsule filling and closing machines have proven their reliability and long service life through their use all over the world. The new GKF 1400 comprises all our experience and know-how in the dependable filling of capsules. Like all machines in the GKF series this one operates intermittently and doses powder on the proven tamping pin principle. You can of course also fill other products either individually or combined into capsules made of hard gelatine or gelatine-free alternative materials. Due to the modular design of this capsule filler it can be changed over to powder filling in an extremely short period of time. The machine control by means of an industrial PC makes possible the storage and management of production data. The WINDOWS-based software meets the requirements of 21 CFR part 11 in terms of data security. Convincing technology and a trend-setting ergonomic design are a guarantee for pharmaceutical security, economy and particularly easy handling. With focus on ergonomics and ease in cleaning, our engineers have developed a machine type with minimized changeover and cleaning times which maximizes your productivity! The production area is clearly structured and has a well arranged design. All stations are freely accessible from the outside via large upward-swiveling guard doors. The ergonomic construction of the machine supports easy handling and cleaning of the subassemblies, for example, during size changing. Your staff will be pleased. Through constant improvement it has been possible to further enhance the high degree of efficiency of this system. Pellets and other non-tampable products can also be filled particularly gently via the dosing disk. Other products such as tablets, dragées, pellets or liquid products can be filled into the capsules via optionally available additional dosing stations. The central feature of the GKF 1400L is a servo-controlled liquid pump with innovative engineering. Easy operator control provided by adjusting the infinitely variable regulation of the filling volume and drip retraction pressure via the touchscreen. A warm water heating system that is regulated by the machine controls realize a constant and smooth product temperature and handling. Due to the modular design of this capsule filler it can be changed over to powder filling in an extremely short period of time. To do so the complete liquid station is simply slid onto the mobile control cabinet and rolled away. The setup of the powder station is then simply a routine matter. Reliable production through ASB The automatic troubleshooting during production makes possible automated production and reduces downtimes. The calibration bar in the empty capsule magazine ensures that deformed or damaged empty capsules are already discharged before the filling process. The mechanical capsule cap scanning facility detects blockages in the capsule feed. The repeated occurrence of missing capsules in a segment bore is detected by the serial fault function. Any deformed capsules in the capsule magazine are blown out by means of a targeted pulse of compressed air and then collected in a bin. The capsule body scanner detects incomplete capsules before filling. A servo driven filling unit like the liquid filling station will switch off to prevent unnecessary product loss. Defective capsules are individually discharged via 10 discharge flaps. Product or capsule parts won t go in the finished capsule container. The segment cleaning with blow nozzles reliably releases any adherent product and capsule remains from the segment borings and discharges these by means of suction air.
