IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS All of the safety and operating instructions should be read, adhered to and followed before the unit is operated. Save these instructions 2

Warning 1. This unit should never be left unattended when plugged in. Unplug from an outlet when not in use, and before putting on or taking off parts. 2. The power cord of the unit should be unplugged from the outlet when left unused for long periods of time. 3. Power supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed on or against them, paying particular attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles and the point where they exit from the unit. 4. Do not operate under a blanket or pillow. Excessive heating can occur and cause a fire, electric shock or injury to persons. 5. Use this unit only for its intended use as described in these instructions. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer. Do not operate the jet function without water in the foot spa. Do not operate the heat function without water in the foot spa. 6. Never operate this unit if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water. 7. Do not carry this unit by its supply cord or use the cord as a handle. 8. The unit should be situated away from heat sources, such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other appliances (including amplifiers) that produce heat. 9. Never operate the unit with the air openings blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair and the like. 3

10. Never drop or insert any object into any opening. 11. Do not use outdoors. 12. To disconnect, turn all controls off, then remove the plug from the outlet. 13. Do not operate where aerosol products are being used or where oxygen is being administered. 14. Do not attempt to plug in or unplug unit while feet are in water. 15. Never immerse the unit completely in water when cleaning. 16. Do not stand up in the unit. Place feet in the unit and remove them from unit while in a seated position. 17. Do not use the unit without water. Fill the unit with water up to the level marking before operating the unit. 18. Do not reach for unit if it has been submerged in water. Unplug it immediately. 19. Close supervision is necessary when this unit is used by, on, or near children or those who are disabled. 20. Do not apply excessive force when using any switches or controls. 21. The unit should be connected to a power supply only of the type described in the operating instructions or as marked on the unit. 22. Precautions should be taken so that the grounding or polarization means of the unit are not defeated. 23. The user should not attempt to service the unit beyond that described in the operating instructions. 4

24. The unit should be cleaned only as recommended in the instructions. 25. Do not attempt to clean the unit with a chemical solvent as this might damage the finish. Use a clean, slightly wet cloth. Note: Operate controls and switches as described in the manual. Before turning on the power, make certain that the power cord is properly connected to the electrical outlet. When moving the unit, be sure to first unplug the power cord. avoid placing this unit near appliances that are connected to electrical outlets. Ensure they are far enough away so they will not fall into the water-filled spa. GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS This product must be grounded. In the event of an electric short-circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing a path of low resistance for the electric current. This product is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded in compliance with all local codes and ordinances. DANGER Improper use of the grounding plug may result in a risk of electric shock. Check with a qualified electrician if you are in doubt as to whether the product is properly grounded. Do not modify the plug provided with the product if it will not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician. 5

WARNING 1. Any individual who is pregnant, has a pacemaker, suffers from diabetes, phlebitis, and/or thrombosis, or is at an increased risk of developing blood clots due to recent surgery should consult his/her physician before using a massaging device designed for home use. 2. Unit should be pleasant and comfortable. Should pain or discomfort result, discontinue use and consult your physician. 3. Do not use while sleeping or if you feel drowsy. 4. Never use with swollen or inflamed feet or if feet have any skin eruptions. 5. This unit has a hot surface. Those who are sensitive to heat must be careful when using the unit. FOOT SPA OPERATION Filling the Foot Spa with Water Make sure the foot spa s power cord is not inserted into an electrical outlet and that the unit is off. 1. Remove the SPLASH COVER. 2. Fill the unit with water up to the WATER FILLING LINE. 3. Replace the SPLASH COVER. Note: Do not add bath salts, oils or crystals to the water, as residue may build up and clog the AIR HOLES. Important! If the WATER SENSORS do not detect water in the reservoir, the Foot Spa will not activate. Using the Foot Spa The foot spa has two rotatable AQUA JETS and two jet speeds allowing you to customize your massage. Turn the AQUA JETS outward and use Low speed for a soothing massage. Direct the AQUA JETS towards the feet and increase the speed for a more intense therapeutic massage. 1. With the foot spa filled with water, insert the power cord into an electrical outlet. 2. Press POWER button on the main unit. The POWER INDICATOR illuminates and the AQUA JETS activate on LOW. The LOW INDICATOR illuminates. 3. To change between High and Low speeds, press JETS on the unit. The HIGH INDICATOR or LOW INDICATOR will illuminate depending on your selection. Pressing and holding JETS will toggle between High and Low speed. 9

Note: The AQUA JETS will not function without water in the foot spa. 4. Press POWER button to turn the foot spa off. Adjusting the Airflow 1. Turn AIR clockwise to increase the airflow in the stream of water flowing from the AQUA JETS. 2. Turn AIR counterclockwise to decrease the airflow. Using Heat The heat feature helps relax tight, sore muscles and relieves tension. The exclusive warming system achieves and maintains the optimum water temperature throughout the entire session, eliminating the need to add hot water. 1. Press HEAT on the main unit. 2. The HEAT INDICATOR will illuminate. 3. To shut heat off, press HEAT again. Notes: Heat can only be used when the foot spa is filled with water and the AQUA JETS are turned on. Heat remains on for 30 minutes and shuts off automatically. To restart the heat function, press HEAT. For optimal results, fill the unit with room temperature (or warmer) water. If the water feels too warm, the water temperature may be regulated by turning heat off, and turning it back on when water cools. For best results, place feet in room temperature water prior to turning heat on. 10

Using the Massage Nodes The MASSAGE NODES allow stimulation of important reflexology zones, helping to alleviate stress-related problems. 1. Press the MASSAGE NODES securely into the MASSAGE NODE HOLDERS. 2. Roll your feet over the MASSAGE NODES for a kneading massage. Using the Pumice Stone Use the PUMICE STONE to scrub the bottom of your feet and remove dry skin. You can remove the PUMICE STONE from the PUMICE STONE HOLDER and use it manually, or you can rub your feet over the PUMICE STONE while it is in the PUMICE STONE HOLDER. Draining the Water from the Foot Spa 1. Ensure the unit is off and disconnected from the electrical outlet. 2. Place the foot spa over your bathtub or sink. 3. Unscrew the WATER STOPPER and drain the water out of the unit through the WATER DRAIN. Towel dry the unit. 4. Wind the power cord around the CORD WRAP underneath the foot spa. 11

CARE AND MAINTENANCE Remove the power cord from the electrical outlet and let the unit cool before cleaning. Do not use scouring cleaning agents, benzene, kerosene or cleaning agents for glass or furniture. Clean the unit only with a soft, slightly wet cloth. Do not use a brush to clean the unit. The PUMICE STONE and SPLASH COVER can be removed and cleaned in a dishwasher or washed by hand using soap and warm water. One (1) Year Limited Warranty Brookstone warrants this product against defects in materials and/or workmanship under normal use for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of purchase by the original purchaser ( Warranty Period ). If a defect arises and a valid claim is received within the Warranty Period, at its option, Brookstone will either 1) repair the defect at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts, or 2) replace the product with a new product that is at least functionally equivalent to the original product, or 3) provide a store credit in the amount of the purchase price of the original product. A replacement product or part, including a user-installable part installed in accordance with instructions provided by Brookstone, assumes the remaining warranty of the original product. When a product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes your property and the replaced item becomes Brookstone s property. A purchase receipt is required. All repairs and replacements must be authorized in advance. Service options, parts availability and response times will vary. You are responsible for delivery and the cost of delivery of the product or any parts to the authorized service center for replacement, per our instructions. Limits and Exclusions: Coverage under this Limited Warranty is limited to the United States of America, including the District of Columbia and the U.S. Territories of Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. This Limited Warranty applies only to products manufactured for Brookstone that can be identified by the Brookstone trademark, trade name, or logo affixed to them or their packaging. The Limited Warranty does not apply to any non-brookstone products. Manufacturers or 13

suppliers other than Brookstone may provide their own warranties to the purchaser, but Brookstone, in so far as permitted by law, provides these products as is. This warranty does not apply to: a) damage caused by failure to follow instructions relating to product s use or the installation of components; b) damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, fire, floods, earthquake or other external causes; c) damage caused by service performed by anyone who is not a representative of Brookstone; d) accessories used in conjunction with a covered product; e) a product or part that has been modified to alter functionality or capability; f) items intended to be periodically replaced by the purchaser during the normal life of the product including, without limitation, batteries or light bulbs; g) any product sold as is including, without limitation, floor demonstration models and refurbished items; or h) a product that is used commercially or for a commercial purpose.
