After Allied Waste Services collects your green waste, it is processed to create a variety of beneficial materials for gardening, landscaping, agricultural and other uses keeping it out of landfills. Once processed into compost, these beneficial organic materials provide valuable soil nutrients, contain mois ture, control weeds, reduce soil erosion and save energy and resources. It is important to keep green waste free of contaminants such as plastic bags, glass, metal and trash. These contaminants make the green waste unsuitable for processing into these useful materials. Place only plant debris and organic material lawn clippings, plant trimmings, leaves, prunings in your cart directly. Please do not put them in plastic trash bags.
