Pollu What? If you live in a strongly fine dust-loaded environment (such as near a highway or an industrial area), or if you suffer from hay fever (caused by pollen), the supply of fresh and healthy air can still be guaranteed by installing the Pollu in your Renson window ventilator. The Pollu filters up to 90% of fine dust (PM10) and pollen out of the incoming air, so that a healthy and comfortable indoor climate is ensured at all times. Advantages? The Pollu is a permanently electrostatically charged filter, which means that the fine dust and pollen that together with the fresh air enter through the window vent, stick to the filter s fibers. Opposed to a classic filter, the size of the dust particles that are filtered is hence not defined by the pore size between the fibers, but rather by the filter s electrostatic characteristics. The Pollu has 4 important advantages: 1. High efficiency The Pollu filters up to 90% of all PM10 (fine dust)-particles from the incoming fresh air. Fine dust is a general term for all minuscule dust particles that have a maimum diameter of 10 micrometer (PM10, i.e. 0,01 millimeter). Seen their small size, these dust particles can easily be inhaled and can be harmful for one s health. In strongly fine-dust loaded environments, Pollu performance therefore creates a healthy, safe and comfortable indoor climate for you and your family to enjoy. 2. Minimal impact on airflow Since the Pollu is electrostatically charged, its pore size does not need to be very small. As a consequence, the incoming air can easily pass through the Pollu and the impact on airflow remains limited. Therefore, the Renson window ventilators can keep their ventilation capacity to a high etent and continue to supply a sufficient amount of fresh air.
3. Permanent performance Thanks to its open structure, the Pollu will not interrupt the ventilating performance of the window ventilator, even if it is saturated with pollen or fine dust. In other words, even if the filtering capacity of the Pollu decreases (in case of saturation), the good ventilating capacity of the Renson window vent is maintained so that a sufficient amount of fresh air is supplied at all times. 4. Long-lasting performance Thanks to the open structure of its pores and its electrostatic charge, the Pollu cannot be obstructed. Therefore, a long-lasting performance is guaranteed. The specific replacement frequency of the Pollu depends on the environment you live in and its degree of air pollution. More information can be found under Maintenance.
Compatible with which Renson window vents? The Pollu is available in 3 different versions. The filtering capacity of all 3 versions is identical, they only differ in height. The choice of which type to order depends on the Renson window ventilator you would like to combine the Pollu with. These 3 types of Pollu are available: 1. Pollu Type 1 (34mm) 2. Pollu Type 2 (47mm) 3. Pollu Type 3 (80mm) The Pollu can be installed in these Renson window ventilators: 1. Invisivent EVO (HF/AK/AKR33/UT/HR)-vents: Pollu Type 1 2. AR60 / THK60 Pollu Type 1 3. AR75 Pollu Type 2 4. Sonovent Compact Pollu Type 2 5. Sonovent ( I/ D)-vents: Pollu Type 3 The Pollu is not compatible with any other Renson window ventilators. More detailed information on how to install the Pollu can be found under Installation.
Installation? The Pollu can be installed quickly and easily. One can find installation instructions for every type of Renson window ventilator below. Invisivent EVO (HF/AK/AKR33/UT/HR) window vents 1. Open the interior flap of the ventilator. 2. Cut the Pollu Type 1 (with scissors) at the required length (). This is the total profile length of the window vent (i.e. the total length of the interior flap). If the window vent is longer than 1 meter, put several pieces of Pollu Type 1 net to each other until the required length is obtained. 3. Cut the Pollu Type 1 (with scissors) in smaller pieces so that it can be inserted between the various clips in the interior profile of the window ventilator. If needed, the clips in the interior profile of the window vent can be moved towards the right or the left.
4. Insert the pieces of Pollu Type 1 in the interior profile of the window vent. Therefore, first insert the Pollu towards the top of the interior profile. Net, push the lower part of the Pollu in the interior profile. 5. The Pollu immediately starts to filter the incoming air. AR60 / THK60 1. Open the interior flap of the window ventilator.
2. Cut the Pollu Type 1 (with scissors) at the required length (). This is the total profile length of the window vent (i.e. the total length of the interior flap). If the window vent is longer than 1 meter, put several pieces of Pollu Type 1 net to each other until the required length is obtained. 3. Cut the Pollu Type 1 at the required height (y), by removing approimately 4 mm over its entire length. The correct height of the Pollu Type 1 for installation in the AR60 / THK60 window ventilator is approimately 30 mm. y y = 30mm 4. Cut the Pollu Type 1 (with scissors) in smaller pieces so that it can be inserted between the various clips in the interior profile of the window ventilator. If needed, the clips in the interior profile of the window vent can be moved towards the right or the left.
5. Insert the pieces of Pollu Type 1 in the interior profile of the window vent. Therefore, first insert the Pollu towards the top of the interior profile. Net, push the lower part of the Pollu in the interior profile. 6. The Pollu immediately starts to filter the incoming air. AR75 1. Remove the interior profile from the window vent by pulling it towards you at the bottom.
2. Cut the Pollu Type 2 (with scissors) at the required length (). This is the total profile length of the window vent (i.e. the total length of the interior profile). If the window vent is longer than 1 meter, put several pieces of Pollu Type 2 net to each other until the required length is obtained. 3. Cut the Pollu Type 2 at the required height (y), by removing approimately 7 mm over its entire length. The correct height of the Pollu Type 2 for installation in the AR75 window ventilator is approimately 40 mm. y y = 40mm 4.
