This is an informal visit to acquaint you with our design style, and us. The main purpose for this visit is for you to see actual installations of many of the items we install, including various finishes of concrete (including Stamped Concrete), masonry (including flagstone and brick), ponds/waterfalls (including our new pondless waterfall ), plant varieties, the type of lawn we use, built in BBQ/bar/food service areas, arbors/patio covers, and many other landscape items. This is not just stacks of bricks and rows of plants, but an actual working and maintained landscape in a very beautiful setting. It is as far as we know, one of a kind in the bay area. Next xt Steps to assure a quality and enjoyable landscape without any y surprises during installation. Step one: Visit our showy wyard ard. We are conveniently located just off freeway 580 in Castro Valley. At our 1/2-acre outside showyard, you will meet with our landscape designer who will show you around, and answer your questions. Here, you will see our free form design style and many of the items that we install, all in a working landscape. We will also familiarize you with what is included in a landscape design. There is no cost for this visit and no further obligation to go further. We will send you home with references and a design questionnaire that can be used should you proceed to scheduling a design consultation at your home. Added bonus: Bring us the total square footage of your yard to be designed and installed, and we will give you a rough cost range for the installation of your project and an estimate for the design cost. Step Two: Design consultation at your home. See it, touch it at our showy wyard. Our designer will answer your questions, offer verbal design advice and provide you with a more detailed estimate to install your project. Our estimate is designed to help you know the cost of your base project, which will include as needed: concrete, drainage & sprinkler systems, soil preparations & grading, lawn and plant materials. Price ranges for options will also be shown. This pricing strategy will allow you to determine a budget for your project. The cost of this design consultation is $250.00 and will be applied toward your project. If a design is necessary, the designer will quote the cost.
Step Three: Design Upon your approval, we will create a conceptual design, which you will preview at our showyard. This will help you visualize what your completed landscape will look like and we can make any changes you may desire. After your approval, we will then prepare the final design and send you copies. This completed design will also allow us to prepare the final quote for you. Please note that this is your design. You may install it yourself or hire anyone of your choosing. However, when Hansen Landscape is hired to install your project, all design fees are applied toward the costs of your complete base project when it is installed under one contract.
