Astralux 2000 Venetian Blind System Life Cycle and Maintenance Sheet Headrail: All moving parts contained within the headrail are self lubricated and should require very little maintenance. Periodic dusting may be required. Gentle operation will ensure unnecessary wear and tear on the system. Slats: The stove enamelled finish will not crack or chip and is therefore maintenance free. Periodic dusting may be required or alternatively a damp cloth can be used to remove dirty marks. If the blind becomes extremely dirty then careful washing of the slats with soap and water, or household detergent is possible. Ultrasonic cleaning is also possible. System: Headrail and slats are available in a wide selection of co-ordinating colours and finishes. Guarantee Period: 3 years, subject to wear and tear. Life Expectancy: 10 years. Suggested Points to Inspect: check installation brackets and clips to make sure they are securely fastened test operation (raise, lower and tilt) to ensure operation is smooth ensure cords are pulled on the vertical plane and access is not obstructed by desks etc. make sure there are no obstructions within the window opening which would restrict operation of the blind Suggested frequency of Inspections: Annually.
