5 L label/booklet format Page 2 of 6 DIRECTIONS FOR USE Restraints DO NOT use in the home garden DO NOT apply by aerial application methods DO NOT use this product through any type of irrigation system or ultra-low volume spray system Situation Disease Rate Critical Comments Turf Anthracnose (Colletotrichum graminicola), Brown Patch (Rhizoctonia solani), Grey Leaf Spot (Pyricularia grisea), Helminthosporium Disease (Bipolaris spp, Drechslera spp, Exserohilum spp), Red Thread (Laerisaria fuciformis), Winter Fusarium (Microdochium Patch) (Fusarium nivale) Pythium Leaf Blight, Pythium Root Rot, Seedling Damping Off (Pythium spp) Spring Dead Spot (Ophiosphaerella narmari) 6 L/ha Apply in a sufficient volume of water to achieve thorough coverage of all foliage and plant crowns. Apply HERITAGE MAXX in a preventative fungicide program containing fungicides from different chemical groups (such as Banner MAXX Turf Fungicide and Daconil Weather Stik Turf Fungicide). Begin applications before symptoms occur when conditions first favour disease and continue applications while conditions remain favourable for disease development. Spray interval Apply no more than 2 consecutive HERITAGE MAXX applications at 21 day intervals for Helminthosporium and at 28 day intervals for other diseases. Refer to the Application and Resistance Management sections for detailed information. Apply in a sufficient volume of water to achieve thorough coverage of all foliage (Pythium Leaf Blight). Wash in within 1 hour after application (Pythium Root Rot and Seedling Damping Off). Apply HERITAGE MAXX in a preventative fungicide program containing fungicides from different chemical groups (such as Subdue MAXX Fungicide). Begin applications when conditions first favour disease development and before disease is present. Spray interval Apply 2 consecutive applications at 14 to 21 day intervals. Use the shorter spray interval when climatic conditions remain favourable for disease development over prolonged periods. Refer to the Application and Resistance Management sections for detailed information. Apply as a soil drench and water in immediately. Spray interval Spray in January to April, after renovation and recovery of active growth. Make a second application 1 month later. DO NOT renovate treated greens until active growth has recommenced in Spring. May also be used in combination with Banner MAXX (eg Banner MAXX at 10 L/ha followed by HERITAGE MAXX at 6 L/ha 1 month later). Refer to the Application and Resistance Management sections for detailed information. NOT TO BE USED FOR ANY PURPOSE, OR IN ANY MANNER, CONTRARY TO THIS LABEL UNLESS AUTHORISED UNDER APPROPRIATE LEGISLATION WITHHOLDING PERIODS DO NOT GRAZE OR CUT FOR STOCK FOOD DO NOT GRAZE TREATED TURF/LAWN, OR FEED TURF/LAWN CLIPPINGS FROM ANY TREATED AREA TO POULTRY OR LIVESTOCK

5 L label/booklet format Page 3 of 6 WARNING HERITAGE MAXX is extremely phytotoxic to certain apple varieties. DO NOT spray HERITAGE MAXX where spray drift may reach apple trees. DO NOT spray when conditions favour drift beyond the area intended for application. Conditions that may contribute to drift include thermal inversions, excessive wind speed, certain sprayer nozzle/pressure combinations, small spray droplet size, etc. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS Mixing Add the required amount of product directly to the spray tank and mix well. HERITAGE MAXX is a micro emulsion concentrate (MEC) with minimal odour as the product does not contain petroleum solvents. HERITAGE MAXX mixes completely with water and may be tank mixed with many commonly used fungicides and liquid fertilisers. Application Ensure even application in order to achieve even disease control. Avoid overlapping sprays. Leaf and Crown Diseases: Application volume for leaf and crown diseases (Anthracnose, Brown Patch, Grey Leaf Spot, Helminthosporium diseases, Pythium Blight, Red Thread and Winter Fusarium) should be adequate to ensure thorough and even coverage of the turf leaves and penetration to the crowns. Ideal application volume should be 350 to 500 L/ha. For best results use medium [XR Teejet* (11004 or 10005)] to coarse [Turbo Teejet* or AIXR Teejet* (11004 or 11005)] nozzles, at 5 km/h and 3 bar pressure. In higher cut turf ( 15 mm) a significant spray shielding effect can occur, impacting negatively on spray penetration and even coverage at low application volumes. Root Diseases: Application volumes for root infecting diseases (Brown Patch, Pythium Root Rot and Spring Dead Spot) should be as high as possible (approximately 1000 L/ha) to ensure placement close to the soil surface. When lower application volumes are used, washing in should commence as soon as possible after application. For best results use extremely coarse droplets [Turbo Floodjet* (TF5) or TurfJet* (TTJ10)] and total application volume of approximately 1000 L/ha. Preferably spray onto wet or dewy grass. Irrigate with 6 to 10 mm of water commencing within 1 hour of application. Compatibility HERITAGE MAXX is compatible with Banner MAXX, Daconil Weather Stik, Primo MAXX Turf Regulator and Subdue MAXX. Fungicide Resistance Warning GROUP 11 FUNGICIDE HERITAGE MAXX Fungicide is a member of the quinone outside inhibitors (Qols) group of fungicides. For fungicide resistance management the product is a Group 11 fungicide. Some naturally occurring individual fungi resistant to the product and other Group 11 fungicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any fungal population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the fungal population if these fungicides are used repeatedly. These resistant fungi will not be controlled by this product or other Group 11 fungicides, thus resulting in a reduction in efficacy and possible yield loss. Since the occurrence of resistant fungi is difficult to detect prior to use, Syngenta Crop Protection Pty Ltd accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of this product to control resistant fungi. Resistance Management HERITAGE MAXX is best used in a preventative disease control program. Reliance on curative use of HERITAGE MAXX could lead to resistance. As a precaution, DO NOT apply HERITAGE MAXX for more than a total of 1 / 3 of the fungicide applications in 1 season. If consecutive applications of HERITAGE MAXX are used they must be followed by at least the same number of applications of fungicide(s) from a different group(s) before HERITAGE MAXX is used again in the current or following season. PRECAUTION Re-entry Period DO NOT enter treated areas until the spray has dried, unless wearing chemical resistant gloves and footwear. PROTECTION OF LIVESTOCK DO NOT graze treated turf/lawn, or feed turf/lawn clippings from any treated area to poultry or livestock.
