Pos: 29 /Filter/Filtoskim/Die Kombination von Wasser und Elek. Filtoskim @ 1\mod_1133782453978_121.doc @ 9800 The combination of water and electricity can lead to danger to life and limb, if the unit is incorrectly connected or misused. Do not operate the unit if persons are in the water! Prior to reaching into the water, always disconnect the power supply to all units used in the water. Compare the electrical values of the power supply with those on the type plate on the packaging or on the unit itself. Only operate the unit when plugged into an earthed socket. The latter must have been installed in accordance with the valid national regulations. Ensure that the protective earth wire is led to the unit. Only use electrical equipment, adapters, extension or connection cables with an earthed contact which are approved for outside use! The cross section of power connection cables must not be smaller than the rubber cables identified with H05 RNF. Extension cables must meet DIN VDE 0620. Ensure that the unit is fused for a rated residual current of max. 30 ma via a residual current-operating system (FI or RCD resp.). Keep the power plug and all connection points dry! Protect the connection cable when burying to avoid damage. Electrical installations at garden ponds must meet the international and national regulations valid for installers. Do not carry or pull the unit by the connection cable! Never operate the unit if the cable or housing are defective! The power connection cable of this unit cannot be replaced. If the cable is damaged, the entire unit has to be disposed of. Always disconnect the power supply of all units located in water and of this unit prior to performing work on the unit! Never open the unit or its component parts, unless this is explicitly mentioned in the operating instructions. Never carry out technical changes to the unit. Only use spare parts meeting the quoted specifications and original accessories. Only allow authorised customer service outlets to perform repairs. For your own safety, consult a qualified electrician if you have questions or encounter problems! Attention! Dangerous ultra-violet radiation. The radiation of the UVC lamp, even in small doses, is dangerous for eyes and skin! Never operate the UVC lamp in a defective housing or outside of the housing. Assembly and installation (A) Fit and adjust the unit according to figures A1-A9. Bury the container at the pond edge in a horizontal position making sure that the pond water level is in the centre of the skimmer opening. Start-up (B) Attention! Never operate the unit without water flowing through! Adhere to the safety information given above! Fill the pond with water and wait until the unit is filled with water. Connect the power supply (B1). Note: After a new installation, the unit only reaches its full biological cleaning effect after a few weeks. The full effect on bacteria is only reached as from an operating temperature of + 10 C. Note: In the event of overheating, the installed temperature monitor switches the UVC lamp off automatically, the lamp automatically switches on again once cooled down. The unit is switched off by pulling the mains plug (B2). Maintenance and cleaning Attention! Always disconnect the power supply prior to starting cleaning and maintenance work! Adhere to the safety information given above! Check and clean the water outlet into the pond at regular intervals. Only clean the filter when required, do not use chemical cleaning agents to permit the filter biology to optimally develop, knowing that cleaning agents kill the bacteria in the foam filters. Open the unit cover, close the skimmer flap (C1) and pump out the container. The non-return valve in the outfeed socket prevents the pond water from flowing back through the outlet. Switch the pump off by pulling the mains plug (B2). Remove and empty the screen basket. Cleaning with the cleaning injector (C2-C3) Take the cleaning injector out of the screen basket handle and pull the lance out of the foam filter. Fit the lance and connect the dirt water hose and the clean water hose (water supply) to the cleaning injector (C2). Start the water supply (recommendation: 1 bar water pressure). Push the lance through the vertical grooves of the blue foam filters and down to the container bottom (C3). The sludge at the unit bottom is sucked up by the vacuum and removed together with the outflowing water. Following cleaning, dismantle the cleaning injector and store the components at the positions provided for this purpose. Clean and replace foam filters (C4-C7) Only clean or replace the foam filters if heavily soiled. Note: The bacteria in the filter sludge have an additional biological filtering effect. Pull out the filter basket (C4), remove the foam filters, and clean under clean water by vigorously squeezing (C5). Install the foam filters in the reverse order (C6-C7). Cleaning the UVC pump unit (D1, D2) Adhere to the safety information given above! Remove the cover of the UVC pump unit and lift the UVC pump unit out of the holder in the container wall (D1). Undo the union nut that connects the pump housing to the water housing of the UVC clarifying unit (D2). 8
