ELECTRICAL WARNINGS FIXTURE MAINTENANCE All Products must be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with all national and local electrical and construction codes and regulations. Do not attempt to install or use a Product until you have read and understand the installation instructions and safety labels. Products have risk of shock and no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to disassemble the light fixture in any way. Never exceed the maximum voltage rating of the Product. When installing or servicing the Product, be sure to disconnect the power prior to beginning work. Use lighting fixture with only a UL-Listed Class 2 Power Supply. Do not make live connections, also known as hot-swapping. Ensure that power to the Product is off before connecting or disconnecting individual units. Clean the fixture with mild soap and water only. Ensure that any cleaning products that you use on the optic do not contain plasticizers as they can damage the optic. Do not clean the fixture with high pressure washers or pointed objects as they can damage the Product and cause potential breaches of seals. Do not submerse the Product when cleaning, or allow to sit in standing water. CERTIFICATIONS IP66 1 2

V-Line Gen3 Installation Guide V-Line Gen3 Installation Guide CHOOSING AN INSTALLATION SITE FIXTURE INSTALLATION When selecting a site for product installation, as with any LED Lighting Product, be sure to keep in mind that at some point the Products may need to be cleaned, repaired, or replaced. Planning ahead for simple product access will assist in reducing headaches down the road. TEMPERATURE CONSIDERATIONS VLA-14 Adjustable.25" Space between [6mm] fixtures Product is rated for an Operating Temperature range of -20 to 40 C with a rated maximum Case Temperature of 50 C. Case Temperature is measured at a test point located in the center of the back side of the Product s extrusion housing. Installations that may lead to Case Temperatures above 50 C include: Installing the Product in an area above 40 C ambient temperature. Operating the Product during daylight hours when installed in direct sunlight in hot climates. Installing the Product in a sealed compartment. Installing the Product between panes of glass or directly behind a glass window. Installing the Product in a tight and/or insulated space. Product should not be installed in applications that exhibit a greater-than-average ambient temperature variation over a short period of time. Examples include those instances where the Product is rapidly heated or cooled at a rate that occurs faster than that typically found in nature. Should you have any concerns about your installation, contact us. Please be sure the Product is operated at or below these specified Operating and Case Temperature levels. Failure to do so will void the warranty. Product is equipped with i2systems Active Thermal Management (ATM). In an overheat condition, ATM reduces Product power in order to reduce Case Temperature. However, ATM should not be relied upon as a means of normal operation. Please be sure the Product is operated at or below these specified Operating and Case Temperature levels. Failure to do so will void the warranty. WET LOCATION / OUTDOOR USE Use Only Wet Location Fixtures For Exterior Applications. Any V-Line Gen3 Fixture Marked I Is Indoor Only And Is Not To Be Used For Exterior Applications. A-16AAG Outdoor Installation Considerations: A-16AAG I Product is rated for exterior applications; however it is not rated for submersible applications and should not be mounted in conditions where there is, or is a possibility of, standing water. Product should not be installed in extreme locations including, but not limited to, those outside of its temperature/humidity ratings and/or applications where Product is subject to water runoff or downspouts. Please be sure your product installation complies with the above guidelines. Failure to do so will void the warranty. When installing in wet or damp locations, it is good practice to seal all fixtures and junction boxes with electronics-grade RTV silicone sealant to ensure that moisture cannot enter or accumulate in wiring compartments, cables, or other electrical parts. Do not terminate the Product Cable where it may sit in water or where water may run through the cable and into the Product. Install a loop into the cable at the fixture end to ensure water does not run straight down the cable. Inspect the cable when installing to ensure there is no potential for chaffing, pull, or cuts in the cable covering that may allow water to leak into the fixture. Prior to tightening, posts slide freely for simple installation and vertical fixture removal. Per IEC 60929:2006 Annex E: Less than 1V = Off Greater than 9V = 100% Intensity Between 1V and 9V, intensity will be adjusted on the Gen3 fixture from 1% to 100%. The LED bar graph will display Dim levels based on the 0 to 10V Levels. To manually override the incoming 0 to 10V signal, press either button on the LL-205-10V. Manual operation is described on page 10. One LL-205-10V dims up to 5 es. Use i2systems Dimming Cable 685-01561-X or 685-02026-X to daisy-chain es to a single LL-205-10V. Refer to the LL-205 installation Guide for additional details and technical specifications. Operation: LL-205-TRIAC reads the conventional TRIAC dimmer levels and translates them to i2systems dimming protocol. The TRIAC is not loaded, and in most cases a minimum load will not be required. Input may include both Leading and Trailing Edge 120V AC dimmers. Trailing Edge dimmers (those specified as Low Voltage Dimmers) yield best performance. The LED bar graph will display Dim levels based on the interpreted TRIAC levels (results may vary). Most, but not all, TRIAC dimmers will work and some will yield better results than others. Contact us to pre-approve the dimmer you've selected for your project. One LL-205-TRIAC dims up to 5 es. Use i2systems Dimming Cable 685-01561-X or 685-02026-X to daisy-chain es to a single LL-205-TRIAC. **Optional. Only connect AC Neutral to dimmers with a Neutral wire hookup. Refer to the dimmer manual and/or manufacturer for example wiring diagrams as wiring varies depending on dimmer type and hookup. Refer to the LL-205 installation Guide for additional details and technical specifications. 11 12

V-Line Gen3 Installation Guide V-Line Gen3 Installation Guide FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS LIMITED WARRANTY Basic Installation Q: Can I connect the Gen3 directly to line voltage? A: No. Connecting the Gen3 directly to line voltage or any voltage higher than 30V DC will damage the fixture and void the warranty. Use an i2systems to convert line voltage to a low voltage. Q: I see the Gen3 is rated from 18-30V DC. Will the intensity vary over the voltage range? A: No. The light output will remain constant over the full range. Based on the Gen3 s constant power design, as the voltage drops, the current will increase proportionally (conversely, it will go down as the voltage rises), adding additional current load in the wiring and on the. Q: Can I load the to the full wattage specified (i.e., 75W)? A: Yes. The power supplies installed in i2systems es are derated (i.e. a 75W uses a 100W Power Supply). Refer to the Datasheet for additional details. Q: Can I use a 3rd party low voltage power supply? A: While it is possible to use a 3rd party 24V DC power source, we highly discourage this and doing so may void the Gen3's warranty. Not all power supplies exhibit the same characteristics and there is the possibility of the power supply being incompatible or causing damage to the Gen3 fixture. Dimming-Related Q: For installations without dimming, what do I do with the green and white wires on the Gen3? A: The green and white wires on the Gen3 are for isolated dimming control. These wires are optically isolated to the Gen3 power and may be cut and capped using best industry practices. Alternatively, tie all green wires to green wires and white wires to white wires to synchronize light turn-on when power is applied. Refer to the diagram on page 9. Q: Is the LightLink LL-205 limited to dimming 5 es? A: No. The LightLink LL-205 is capable of dimming more than 5 es. Please refer to the LL-205 Installation Guide for additional details. Q: When using the LightLink LL-205 Dimming Module, do I need a 3rd Party Dimmer? A: No. The LL-205 is often used as a standalone dimmer. This feature is useful for simple installations and/or troubleshooting dimming installations where the LightLink is able to override the incoming dimming signal to help pinpoint the problem. Q: Can I mix and match i2systems Product series on the same LightLink dimmer? A: Yes. However, contact us prior to doing so, as results may vary, depending on the Product. 1.1 Limited Warranty.
