Make sure the clean-out door to the chimney is closed tight Make sure all door gaskets are intact and in good repair Make sure coal is not excessively wet Make sure the barometric damper is in good working order and not sticking open. The next step is to mount the black thermostat box. The black thermostat can be mounted on either side of the hopper. Holes provided on every hopper. Now install the glass. Place the self-adhesive gasket on both sides of the glass. Wrap the glass completely with the gasket. Take the 4 glass bolts and brackets out of the backside of the door. Install the glass and replace and snug the bolts. Connect marked wires on black box of the Thermostat and burner. (DO NOT use green marked wire). With your assembly finished, it is time to make all the final connections. Your thermostat should, at this point, be mounted. Make sure that your thermostat wire is connected to both the black box, as well as the unit that mounts on the wall. Hopper lid sweat is a sign of poor draft. Correct problem immediately!!!
