DANGER: To reduce the risk of electrical shock: Always unplug this product immediately after using and before cleaning. Before starting this product you should consult your doctor to determine if you have any physical or health condition that could create a risk to your health and safety, or prevent you from using the product properly. Your doctor s advice is essential if you are taking medication that affects your heart rate, blood pressure or cholesterol. WARNING: To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock or injury: Do not use on sensitive skin areas or in the presence of poor circulation. An appliance should never be left unattended when plugged in. Unplug when not in use, and before adding or removing parts. Do not operate under blankets or pillows. Do not carry this appliance by supply cord or use cord as a handle. Be aware of your body s signals. Incorrect or excessive exercise can damage your health. Stop exercising if you experience any of the following symptoms: pain, tightness in your chest, irregular heartbeat, extreme shortness of breath, feeling light-headed, dizzy or nauseous. If you do experience any of these conditions you should consult your doctor before continuing with your exercise program. Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water. Return the appliance to a service center for examination and repair. Use this product only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Always keep the power cord away from heated surfaces. Never operate this product with the air openings blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair, etc. Never operate on a soft surface such as a bed or sofa where the air openings may be blocked. Never drop or insert any object into any opening. To disconnect, turn all controls to the OFF position, then unplug. Do not use on unexplained pain. Do not use this product when standing on a damp floor, or when any part of the body is in contact with plumbing or any similar ground. If you have any medical problems such as Phlebitis, Diabetes, or any vascular problems in your calves/ legs/ feet, consult a physician before using this product. Use this product on a solid, level surface. You may wish to position it on top of a floor protector. Safety Precautions Comfortable clothing is recommended while using this product. If you feel any abnormal discomfort during the operation of this product, turn off the power immediately and do not use the product. Consult your physician. When using this product after it has been in storage, check to see that the product is operating properly prior to use. Be sure to allow a 1.3 m (51 ) clearance on all sides of The ijoy Twist. get ready ijoy Twist control console THERE S MORE TO THE IJOY TWIST THAN MEETS THE EYE. Check out the following features: ( ) Warm-up (default) start with this speed to get used to the ijoy Twist. (I) Taking it Easy Move on to this speed once you re warmed up. (II) Getting Serious Advance to this speed when you think you re ready. (III) Pump it Up Choose this speed for an even more challenging workout. Select Very important button. Press it to cycle between the four workout speeds and the Auto program. Auto Let The ijoy Twist take control, dishing out a combination of all four speeds. Start/Stop Press it to start your workout. Press it again when you want to stop. 6 7

get ready The ijoy Twist s multi-directional motion challenges three different muscle groups. Before getting on the ijoy Twist, get familiar with the four speeds and the Auto workout program, so you know what to expect. 1. First plug the ijoy Twist into a wall outlet. 2. Turn the power switch, located on the back of the ijoy Twist, to On. On Off 3. Repeatedly press the Select button to observe all four workout speeds and the Auto workout program. Note the multi-directional motion this is what challenges your balance to work your muscles. 4. Press the Start/Stop button to turn off the ijoy Twist. Innovative twist motion Wear comfortable workout clothes when using the ijoy Twist. 8 9

take control You really can t go wrong working out on the ijoy Twist. As you work to keep your balance, you re working your muscles. So, make it fun! Express yourself! CAUTION: Before turning on the ijoy Twist, sit on the seat in the normal use position. For your safety, if your feet do not comfortably reach the floor, you should NOT use the ijoy Twist. WARNING: Do not sit on the extreme rear of the seat, as this may cause the motor to stall and overheat. If this should occur, turn off the ijoy Twist and allow the motor to cool down for at least 15 to 20 minutes. You may then resume using the ijoy Twist. Do not allow more than one person at a time to use the ijoy Twist. Using the ijoy Twist improperly or excessively could result in injury. Your ijoy Twist features a built-in 15-minute timer. After approximately 15 minutes of continuous use, the unit will automatically power off. When this occurs, you may press the Start button again to restart the Twist. However, after multiple 15-minute cycles, the unit may shut down and remain inoperable for a brief period to cool the motor. If this occurs, wait 30 minutes before attempting to start the unit again. 1. Mount the ijoy Twist and center yourself comfortably on the broad support seat. 2. Position your feet flat on the floor or on the ijoy Twist base. 3. Select Warm-up ( ) to get acquainted with the ijoy Twist s motion. 4. When you are comfortable with your position and balance, you can begin to experiment with the four different speeds and the Auto program (accessible from the ijoy Twist control console). If at any time you become uncomfortable or fatigued, stand up carefully and press the Stop button. Never stand on the ijoy Twist seat or lay across it on your belly. Do not stand on the ijoy Twist. 10 11

Care and Maintenance The product is specially designed and constructed to be maintenance free. No periodic lubrication or servicing is required. Your product should only be serviced by an authorized service center. Care should be taken not to overload the unit. To ensure product safety, examine the ijoy Twist regularly for damage or wear, especially the seat. If the ijoy Twist becomes damaged in any way, stop using it immediately, and contact your distributor. Frequent close inspection of the seat and handles for cracks and / or looseness is required to maintain this equipment in safe working order. STORAGE: Your product has been carefully designed to give you many years of trouble-free service. Always unplug the unit when not in use. Additionally, if not in use for a long period of time, we recommend that the power cord be coiled and that the unit be placed in an environment free of dust and moisture. Do not store near heat or open flame. Do not leave this product exposed to direct sunlight for long periods of time. This may cause fading or damage. WARNING: This product is equipped with a thermal resetting protection device. This is an added safety feature to protect you and this product from overheating. If the product should suddenly stop and will not start, turn the main power switch, located on the back of the product, off and do not operate the product for at least 30 minutes.
