A firm commitment to successful projects.
Our goal is a rewarding project experience. Engineer Archie Becher, Sr. and Land Surveyor Melvin Hoppe teamed up in 1954 in Wausau, Wisconsin, to provide professional engineering and surveying services to surrounding communities in north central Wisconsin. Expanding upon its success with multidisciplinary project management, in 1973, the Becher Hoppe firm began offering architectural services. Today, and hundreds of successful projects later, Becher Hoppe is a leading Wisconsin engineering and architecture firm serving municipal, county, and state governments; developers, agricultural clients, private institutions, and businesses throughout the state. The City of Wisconsin Rapids was faced with a major renovation of our City Hall because of various issues with water damage. Becher Hoppe worked with us to identify what solutions made the most sense and made sure we were comfortable with these solutions. The project changed somewhat during construction, but all and all, things moved along as smoothly as possible. As the client, we were treated with great respect and patience. When we asked a question, they responded in a very timely fashion. Mary Jo Carson Mayor, City of Wisconsin Rapids, WI 2006-2012
