. UNIT DESCRIPTION Outdoor splitsystem unit working with R4A refrigerant for connection with direct expansion coils or remote exchangers, with hermetic rotary scroll compressor and axialflow fans. External panels and basement and base in galvanised sheet steel with paint finish. Structure Structure specifically designed for outdoor installation. Base, frame and panelling in hotgalvanised shaped sheet steel with a suitable thickness. All parts polyesterpowder painted to assure total weather resistance, fers maximum ease access to the internal components. Coil protection grill (sizes 6). Compressors Hermetic scroll compressors complete with an oil sump heater, electronic thermal protection with centralised manual reset and a twopole electric motor. Soundpro hood in high density rubber. Heat source side heat exchanger Finned coil exchanger made from copper tubes and aluminium fins. The aluminium fi ns are correctly spaced to guarantee optimum heat exchange efficiency. Finned coil comprising copper tubes and aluminium fins with a large heat exchange area, fully tested against leaks with dry air at 3 bar. Certification, Reference Standard The unit complies with the following directives and relative amendments: Machinery Directive 6/4/EC E.C.D. 89/336/EEC + 4/8/EC Low Voltage Directive 6/95/EC Pressure Equipment Directive 97/3/EC. Mod. A. TÜV Italia 948 (sizes 7 ). HSW5 Electronic Controller The HSW5 device is the new Climaveneta controller for the management condensing units. The new 4digit display fers clear reading the variables in play, while the 4 symbols give an immediate view machine states for system diagnostics. The 4 keys can be used to navigate the tree menu, access to which is passwordprotected for maximum security. The electronic controller incorporates a series protection algorithms in order to prevent damage being done to the main system components. The most important includes parameters concerning compressor startup times in order to prevent overfrequent starting times (minimum delay after last stop and minimum delay after last start). Condensation control is managed by modulating the air flow through the condensation coils by varying the ventilation speed. This allow to increase the unit s efficiency as well as improve the system quietness. Heat source side fan section Ventilation system comprising axial electric fans with a diameter 45 mm or 63 mm (depending on the model), protected to IP54, featuring an external rotor, plasticcoated aluminium blades and a safety mesh. 6pole electric motor with builtin thermal protection. Continuous fan rotation speed adjustment. . ELECTRONIC CONTROLLER The HSW5 device is the new Climaveneta controller for the management aircooled units. The new 4digit display fers clear reading the variables in play, while the 4 symbols give an immediate view machine states for system diagnostics. The 4 keys can be used to navigate the tree menu, access to which is passwordprotected for maximum security. The controller integrates the Full Floating function which allows the units to be used even in the absence inertial storage boilers. The algorithm, in fact, assures ideal operating conditions by modifying the control parameters, thus varying the speed the system pump and the aperture the outlet valve, as well as the temperature setpoint the unit. The latter characteristic can be used to adapt operating conditions in order to reduce the frequency compressor startups during the periods in which the heat demand from the rooms to condition is limited. As a result, the presence inertial storage boilers becomes superfl uous and it is therefore possible to eliminate the direct purchase and installation cost, thus limiting the size the system. The electronics also incorporates a series protection algorithms in order to prevent damage being done to the main system components. The most important include parameters concerning compressor startup times in order to prevent overfrequent starting times (minimum delay after last stop and minimum delay after last start). To prevent the water inside the plate exchanger from freezing and breaking it, the control electronics also blocks the compressor if the temperature the water measured by the probe leaving the exchanger is lower than a protection setpoint (antifreeze setpoint). There is also a water fl ow alarm activated by differential pressure switches installed standard on the unit, or by optional fl ow switches that can be added to the system during installation. Condensation control is managed by modulating the air flow through the condensation coils by varying the ventilation speed. There are also two energysaving functions (ECONOMY and COMFORT) that manage a temperature setpoint either in a fi xed way, or dynamically according to the temperature the water produced on the system side. To enable this function, connect an additional temperature probe to the unit, position it in the external air (accessory) and also the relative confi guration parameters the control algorithm. This function can also be used to improve the level comfort by continually optimising the ambient according to external environmental conditions. 6 BRAT_MC 3_EN HFC 4A
