The MONICO system solution is not allowed to be used outside the specified field of application, especially in aircraft or in any other airborne means of transport. Please note: 230 V power supply voltage! Only components explicitly approved for this purpose by Belimo are allowed to be used for the MONICO system solution. The network may only be configured, and the system configuration changed, by suitably trained and authorised personnel! Check the relevant standards and national directives prior to planning the system. Consult a fire protection expert if necessary. www.belimo.com 1

MONICO-.. Automation station for fire dampers System configuration Controller in MONICO-.. automation station Electrical installation Motorisation sets BF(G)24MP External operating panel Z-PKT0FSW210 Mechanical installation Control cabinet installation Master station connection (MONICO-1M) The controller is installed in the automation station and completely wired. After the fire dampers have been connected via the MP-Bus, the digital inputs/outputs and possibly further slave stations have been connected and the supply voltage has been applied, the MONICO-.. fire protection system is ready for parameterisation and commissioning. The motorisation sets (BF24MP and BFG24MP) consist of a communications-capable fire protection actuator of the Top Line series with an integrated thermoelectrical tripping device and a communication and power supply unit for connection to the MP-Bus network. These motorisation sets are only provided to fire damper manufacturers! The optionally available operating panel Z-PKT0FSW210 allows the MONICO-.. fire protection system to be decentrally controlled and operated. The operating panel is connected to the plan bus of the controller. The control cabinet is fastened directly to the wall with 4 screws (for dimensions / drill hole distances, see page 24). Protective caps must be attached (guarantees protection class II). Observe enclosed installation instructions! MONICO-.. Automation station for fire dampers Troubleshooting Checking / maintenance Please consult the following table before calling the responsible maintenance service! System ok! System: Off Group: Off System alarms 01: 02: 03: 04: 05: 06: Meaning Solution System works perfectly, no further steps necessary. The overall system and the current group are switched off. Fault display Possible cause Solution Shows in which group a fault is present (example: group 2). = No fault = Fault Fault display Possible cause Solution Select system and group and switch them on. Update the faults stored in the History menu of the master (screen H5). Select group 2 in screen H6 and read out the detailed fault description. Carry out further steps according to the displayed fault. AL01 Fire&Smoke alarm from D.I. (master) External fire alarm system reports fire alarm and has closed all fire dampers. Check the status of the fire alarm system. Fault display Possible cause Solution Fault messages not available actuator 1 AL04 The bus connection or the supply voltage to the corresponding actuator is interrupted. Check the bus connection and the supply voltage at the actuator. 22 www.belimo.com

Fault display Possible cause Solution The first slave (group 02) can no longer communicate via plan bus. Fault display Possible cause Solution Digital actuator 1 (MP1) has been closed in dependence on an other actuator. Fault display Possible cause Solution Check plan bus connection. Check plan connection. Scroll further using the scroll keys until the responsible fault is displayed, e.g. Channel temperature > 72 C digital actuator 2. This means that actuator 1 has been closed in dependence on actuator 2 (scenario 2 is active). Group: 00/00 M03 Actuators status: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 O O O O O * O O Actuator is not correctly addressed. The display * means that digital actuator 6 (MP6) has not been correctly addressed; the MP-Bus line or the power supply to the actuator is interrupted. 1) Check MP-Bus connection 2) Check power supply of the actuator 3) Address actuator 6 again www.belimo.com 23
