PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS AND SUBMITTAL INFORMATION Before you start your project, please make sure you are familiar with participation requirements, program information and Terms and Conditions. NEED HELP? CALL 888.947.7828 INFORMATION AND REQUIREMENTS General Terms and Conditions Review Focus on Energy s Terms and Conditions at focusonenergy.com/terms or call 800.762.7077 to request a copy be provided to you. Prescriptive Incentives Agriculture, Schools and Government Program (collectively, "Business Programs"): Any project with an expected incentive exceeding $25,000 requires pre-approval BEFORE project initiation or equipment purchase to guarantee fund availability. Projects not receiving pre-approval will be subject to funding availability. Projects with expected incentives of $10,000 or more may request pre-approval. Check the Focus on Energy website at focusonenergy.com/business or call 800.762.7077 for more information. Custom Incentives If your project does not fit the descriptions on this prescriptive incentive application form, it may qualify for a custom incentive. This requires approval prior to project initiation and ordering equipment or issuing purchase orders. For Business Programs, direct inquiries to 800.762.7077 or visit focusonenergy.com/business. Incentive Limits Agriculture, Schools and Government Program: Incentives are limited to $200,000 per project and $400,000 per customer per calendar year for all Focus on Energy incentives (prescriptive and custom). Depending on your business tax classification, you may receive IRS Form 1099 for incentives totaling more than $600 in a calendar year. Trade Ally Information A Trade Ally represents the company who provided/installed the equipment for a project or performed the service for which a customer is seeking an incentive. Trade Allies who have signed an agreement with Focus on Energy are allowed to enjoy certain program benefits, one of which is to receive direct payment of incentives at the Trade Ally's request. Incentives can only be paid directly to a Trade Ally if the Trade Ally has completed and submitted a Trade Ally Application. The Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) and Business Classification of the Trade Ally is required IF you received your incentive as a credit on your invoice, whereby the incentive is paid directly to the Trade Ally. In this scenario, the credit must be clearly labeled as the Focus on Energy incentive and deducted from the amount due. If your project was completed by more than one Trade Ally (example, equipment was purchased from one Trade Ally but installed by another Trade Ally) and the incentive is being paid to you the customer, please enter the information of the Trade Ally who installed your equipment in Section 4: Trade Ally Information. If the equipment was self-installed, please enter the information of the Trade Ally from whom you purchased the equipment. GRAIN DRYERS EFFICIENT GRAIN DRYER Complete Tables A1-A3 of the Grain Dryer and Irrigation Application Supplemental Data Sheet for this measure. If existing grain dryer performance historical data is unknown, provide three years of utility data showing therms and kwh for grain drying purposes only. For Tables A2 and A3: In the Dryer Type column, enter the type of grain dryer in use. Explain as best as possible based on it being Continuous or Batch, the type of airflow (cross flow, mixed flow). In the Bushels/Hr Drying Capacity column, enter the observed bushel/hr capacity of your grain dryer at the criteria you've been operating at. In the Months When Dryer Will be Used column, enter the months that grain drying generally takes place on your farm. In the Times of Day Dryer Normally Operates column, enter the hour range during the day that grain drying generally takes place on your farm. In the Drying Airflow column, enter the known programmed or total air CFM rating of the heated dryer portion of the grain dryer. In the Plenum Drying Temp column, enter the known set temperature of your grain dryer plenum section. Manufacturer Specification Sheet of proposed grain dryer must be included with Grain Dryer Application. All new grain dryers must be permanent installations that use natural gas as the heating source. Propane heated grain dryers are not eligible. New grain dryer must be a batch or continuous flow type dryer with less than or equal to 1500 bushels per hour capacity. New construction, and dryers greater than or equal to 1500 bushels per hour capacity may qualify for custom incentives; contact your Energy Advisor for additional advice if needed. All custom incentive projects must be pre-approved before construction can begin. New grain dryer must improve dryer efficiency (BTU/lb moisture removed) by 250 BTU/lb. Contact Focus on Energy for assistance calculating the dryer efficiency. New grain dryer must include at least one of the energy efficiency features listed in the Energy Efficient Features of Dryer section of this application. Installed replacement grain dryer must be new. Used or rebuilt equipment is not eligible. Minimum hours of operation: the proposed grain dryer must be used to process sufficient grain to equal at least 150 hours of operation at full capacity. For example, a 500 bushel per hour grain dryer would need to process at least: 500 bushels per hour x 150 hours per year = 75,000 bushels per year or more. For incentive purposes, 10% moisture content reduction bushels/hour rating of new grain dryer should be used. Equipment not eligible for prescriptive incentives may be eligible for custom incentives. Contact an Energy Advisor for more details at 888.947.7828. Energy Efficient Features of Dryer: Staged Temperature (higher temperature for wettest grain) Grain Turners or Inverters (rotate dry grain away from plenum) Differential Grain Speed (drying column designed to move grain next to plenum faster) Varied Width of Drying Column (narrower at top where wet grain is located) Some type of grain heat recovery features Efficient Natural Gas Grain Dryer AG3386 $6 per Bu/hr drying capacity bushel/hr at 10% Moisture Content Reduction Not eligible for New Construction GRAIN DRYERS 9

Must replace pump motor and reduce motor horsepower by 10% or more. Well pump must be electrically powered, with energy provided by a participating electricity provider. Incentive will not exceed 50% of project cost. Project cost includes materials and labor to install new nozzle package and new motor. This measure does not include the use of VFD control to reduce motor horsepower. See below starting on page 14 for VFD measures. Pump Motor Horsepower Reduction AG2434 $65/HP reduced Reduced HP Not eligible for New Construction NEED HELP? CALL 888.947.7828 PRO TIP To realize additional energy savings, consider installing a VFD control for your irrigation well pump to speed up or slow down as needed. Look into irrigation scheduling using crop moisture sensors to ensure you are watering appropriately. Irrigation scheduling gives you more control over crop production and can save on both water and energy. IRRIGATION SYSTEMS 10

VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVES (VFD) VARIABLE TORQUE You may claim an incentive of up to $50 per horsepower up to a maximum of 50% of the total project cost for new, installed VFDs that meet the following requirements: Complete Tables C1 and C2 of the Grain Dryer and Irrigation Application Supplemental Data Sheet for this measure. For the VFD Application column, enter "Irrigation Well Pump", or if Other write in brief description. For the Controls Before VFD column, enter "Outlet Control Valve", "Bypass Valve", "Discharge Damper", "Inlet Guide Vanes", "On/Off", or if Other then write in description. VFD must be installed on a centrifugal or axial flow pump i.e., a variable torque load used to control a process on your crop farm. The pump must operate a minimum of 1,000 hours annually for agricultural producers. The pump may not exceed 500 horsepower. Redundant or back-up units do not qualify. Routine replacement of existing VFDs do not qualify. VFD speed must be automatically controlled by differential pressure, flow, temperature, or other variable signal. Units installed only to allow soft starts are not eligible. The system controlled must have significant load diversity that will result in savings through motor speed variation. VFDs that are required in accordance with International Energy Conservation Code 2009 are not eligible. VFDs may not be beneficial in pump systems where static head makes up a large portion of the total system head. It is also important that the load on the system vary over time to take advantage of the savings that a VFD can provide. Be sure to understand these aspects of your system and discuss them with the equipment vendor in advance of applying VFD technology. CONSTANT TORQUE You may claim an incentive of $35 per horsepower up to a maximum of 50% of the total project cost for new, installed VFDs that meet the following requirements: Complete Table C1 of the Grain Dryer and Irrigation Application Supplemental Data Sheet for this measure. For the VFD Application column, enter "Conveyor", "Auger/Mixer", "Extruder", "Hoist", "Crusher", or if Other write in brief description of the VFD controlled application. For the Controls Before VFD column, enter "On/Off" or if Other write in brief description of the VFD controlled application. Complete Table C3 of the Grain Dryer and Irrigation Application Supplemental Data Sheet for this measure if the proposed VFD speed is controlled manually for its respective constant torque application. VFDs must be installed on constant torque equipment (e.g. conveyors, positive displacement pumps, extruders, mixers, crusher/shredders). The system using the VFD must operate a minimum of 1,000 hours annually for agricultural producers. The system using the VFD may not exceed 500 horsepower. Redundant or back-up units do not qualify. Routine replacements of existing VFDs do not qualify. VFD speed can be automatically controlled by differential pressure, flow, temperature, or other variable signal, or manually controlled. Units installed only to allow soft starts are not eligible. The system controlled must have significant load diversity that will result in savings through motor speed variation. Air compressors are not eligible for this offer. Instead, use the "Variable Speed Drive Air Compressors" on page 14 of the Process Systems Incentive Catalog. VFDs that are required in accordance with International Energy Conservation Code 2009 are not eligible. VFDs may not be beneficial in pump systems where static head makes up a large portion of the total system head. It is also important that the load on the system vary over time to take advantage of the savings that a VFD can provide. Be sure to understand these aspects of your system and discuss them with the equipment vendor or Energy Advisor in advance of applying VFD technology. Constant Torque VFD AGPS3836 $35 HP 4 4 = New Construction eligible PRO TIP VFDs can achieve energy savings in pump, fan, or constant torque applications where the load varies based on temperature, pressure, or flow. VFDs can be applied to systems with hundreds of motor horsepower or down to fractional horsepower. NEED HELP? CALL 888.947.7828 VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVES 15
