1.Maintenance of the air duct system Belt dryer SDZB 3000 is zoned and horizontal, the drying media is heated air, adopts crossflow drying method (hot air flow through feed material vertically), to realize heat and water exchange between the feed material and hot air, and take extra water away from the product. The air circulation is shown in the following figure: In this air duct system, part of the hot and moist air is exhausted by the air exhausting fan, meanwhile, dry air flows into the dryer from the make-up air vent from the ambient, the two airflow mix and heated by heat exchanger, then dragged by the recirculation fan and flow to the lower drying chamber to begin the new cycle. Because the product is made of powder, it is unavoidable that powder and cotton-like debris will be blown to the air network, especially will accumulate on the filter and increase the pressure loss, the effect of the dryer will be reduced finally when the accumulated debris reach a certain extent.
The above picture shows the situation of filter blockage when it is lack of regular cleaning, it will greatly reduce the dryer's production rate if debris accumulate on the filter like the above picture shows. It's suggested to inspect the filter every week/half a month in the debugging period, and clean the residuals in the air duct as well. After debugging, based on the real situation (the formula, the volume and density of debris, etc) to decide the cleaning cycle. Besides, it's needed to check if the make-up air vent is blocked, if the vent is on the side, engineer can take a look on the ground, while
if it is on the top, it's required to inspect whether it is blocked or stuck by foreign stuff periodically (every month is suggested). Some customers may add filter on the top vent, it's needed to check and clean periodically. There will be accumulation of pellets after a period of time, need to be clean periodically. 2)Maintenance of the filters in pipelines All the core valves (pressure reduction valve, drain valve, proportional valve, etc.) have filters at the upstream of them nearby, to guarantee the core valves' stable performance. Maintenance of conveyer belt/arch breaking/fine screw reducer/bearing 1)Reducer SDZB3000 adopt brand reducer of a German company, the failure rate is low, it's suggested to maintain the reducer according to the instruction of the reducer. 2)Bearing The bearings for conveyer belt/arch breaking/fine screw are all mounted, the running speed is low, so it's suggested to add Lithium grease every 1-3 months, the recommend grease is No.2 Lithium grease. 3)Other suggestions Make sure to pay attention to the tautness of the conveyer belt, and execute the following maintenance work: 1.Inspect if the chain is on the middle of the track;
2.Inspect if the screen mesh is broken; 3.Adjust the tautness of the chain. 4.Maintenance of the recirculation fan 1)Maintenance of the recirculation fan motor The recirculation fan is directly driven by the motor, it is necessary to maintain the motor as a routine, more specifically, applying grease on the bearings periodically as the following table: About the grease type, it's suggested as follows: 1. Must be good quality lithium-based grease; 2. The viscosity should be 100--140CST at 40 ; 3. concentration level NLGL2 or 3; 4. Temperature range from -30 to 120. If not specified, the maintenance of motor can be as follow: For motor less 10hp/7.5kW, clean condition, once every 5 years;for motor from 15hp/11kW to 40hp/30kW, clean condition, once every 3 years. For motor running at unclean condition or 24hr a day, divide the interval time by 4; DO NOT OVER-Lubricate. 2)Maintenance of fan blade After a long time running, the fan blades will gather lots of powders and will vibrate, as shown in the following figure:
Once the fan blades gather lots of powders, it will cause unnecessary vibration and damage the associative parts. Periodical check and cleaning is recommended. Every month. 5 Maintenance of the air exhausting fan 1)Motor of the exhausting fan's mainenance The maintenance of motor is the same as the motor of recirculation fan motor, refer to chapter 4.
2)Maintenance of the fan 1 After the installation, each fan should have a maintenance record, based on which the fan is inspected and maintained. At least one maintenance a year is required regardless of the type of fan. 2 Every 3-month continuous operation, inspect the rolling bearing, roller, surface of roller and inner ring fitting, replace grease (or oil).for grease, it's recommended to fill 2/3 of the bearing, while for oil please refer to the oil level meter. 3 Periodical exhausting fan maintenance, clean dust and dirt inside the fan. 3)3 V belt inspection and adjustment It is necessary to inspect and re-tension the V belt regularly. Pay attention if there are powder accumulation and prick or hindrance, all of these will cause abrasion and belt aging. Remove prick timely, avoid powder into the bearing, check the belt wear and replace new belt if it's worn. If asymmetric abrasion is found, please check if the belt is not well aligned and adjust it. Every 3 months. 7.Postscript of some points 1)Regular maintenance of the compressed air: A complete compressed air generation system should include the above devices, the maintenance must strictly follow the instruction to guarantee the stable performance of other related devices. 2)Highlight of device maintenance: It's forbidden to run the conveyer belt reversely, make sure the conveyer belt and the outlet material positioner are operated in chain, once the conveyer belt is run reversely or it's not operated in chain with the positioner, irreversible damage will be caused on many components. Therefore, please DO NOT change the motor wire connecting and control system privately. If fault occur on the motor, after dismantled repair and reinstall, please pay more attention on the rotation direction of the motor.
