NOTICE TO USER: This pest control product is to be used only in accordance with the directions on the label. It is an offence under the Pest Control Products Act to use this product in a way that is inconsistent with the directions on the label. The user assumes the risk to persons or property that arises from any such use of this product. DIRECTIONS FOR USE POUNCE EC is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide of low mammalian toxicity. It is a stomach and contact insecticide with no systemic or fumigant effect. Therefore, it is very important to obtain excellent spray coverage. RECOMMENDED APPLICATIONS CROP PEST m L per 1000 Litres Cabbage Cabbage looper Cauliflower Broccoli Brussels Sprouts Sweet Corn Imported cabbage worm Diamond back moth larvae European corn borer Corn earworm ml p er Hectare REMARKS ------- 90-175 ------- 275-375 Apply specified dosage in 400 to 650 litres of water per hectare on a 7 to 10 day schedule, when insects or insect damage first appears. For severe infestations, use 175 ml per hectare. May be applied up to 3 days before harvest of cabbage, cauliflower and brussels sprouts and up to 7 days before harvest of broccoli. Apply specified dosage in 350 to 450 litres of water per hectare, using a boom and nozzle arrangement that ensures thorough spray coverage. Use the higher rate when severe insect pressure is anticipated. Spray not later than when first feeding is seen on the foliage. For second brood borers in late plantings, apply before tassels show. For control of corn earworm, direct the spray to ensure coverage of ears and silks. For the number and timing of repeat applications, follow the customary spray schedule in your region. Consult the provincial spray calendar. POUNCE EC may be applied up to 1 day before harvest. Cereals Pale Western ---- 180-

Any insect population may contain individuals naturally resistant to this product and other Group 3 insecticides. The resistant biotypes may dominate the insect population if these insecticides are used repeatedly in the same field. Other resistance mechanisms that are not linked to site of action, but specific for individual chemicals, such as enhanced metabolism, may also exist. Appropriate resistance management strategies should be followed. To delay insecticide resistance: Where possible, rotate the use of POUNCE EC with different groups that control the same pests. Use tank mixtures with insecticides from a different group when such use is permitted. Insecticide use should be based on an integrated pest management (IPM) program that includes scouting and record keeping and considers cultural, biological, and other chemical control practices; Monitor treated pest populations for resistance development. Contact the local extension specialist or certified crop advisors for any additional pesticide resistance-management and IPM recommendations for the specific site and pest problems in the area. For further information or to report suspected resistance, contact Bayer CropScience at 1-888- 283-6847. PRECAUTIONS KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. May cause skin or eye irritation. Avoid splashing concentrate in eyes or on hands. When applying this product in enclosed areas or with equipment

capable of producing respirable droplets (less than 10 microns in size), an adequate respirator should be worn. Re-entry to treated areas is permissible as soon as the spray deposit has dried. This product contains a petroleum distillate which is moderately to highly toxic to aquatic organisms. Avoid contamination of aquatic systems during application. Do not contaminate these systems through direct application, disposal of waste or cleaning equipment. Apply using ground equipment only. DO NOT APPLY BY AIR. Toxic to fish and aquatic organisms.
