NeXT is a powerful stand-alone application running fully embedded in network cameras to perform an intelligent video surveillance for ATM devices. It s no longer necessary installing workstation servers with dedicated video surveillance software. Using a complex algorithm, that is at the heart of its operation, NeXT is able to exploit the features of the network cameras. Based on the events generated by the camera sensors, such as, for example, motion detection, audio detection, digital input, tampering, NeXT is able to detect suspicious behaviors and quickly notify them. NeXT can be easily installed and configured for different applications. Each customizable application profile allows to take appropriate actions, such as switch on light signals, play audio clips, send TCP notification, against the behavior of the potential intruder. An access control application, for example, can be configured to have specific output on different scenarios, such as corporate offices, industrial complexes, condominiums, apartments, shops. The application profiles are an important advantage for users because their surveillance system can evolve to meet the needs as soon as they change. NeXT has an intuitive user interface and can easily integrate thirdparties systems features. NeXT ATM BOX CAMERA application profile is specifically designed for the monitoring and supervisioning of automated teller machines (ATM). The main objective is to detect suspicious behavior or fraudulent potential attackers from people approaching the terminals. The base configuration uses an Axis M1054 camera installed in a specific
intelligent video IP65 camera case that ensures a proper integrity against vandal attacks. The Network Camera uses progressive scan technology providing full frame rate video in resolutions up to 1 megapixel including HDTV 720p. Multiple H.264 and Motion JPEG streams can be provided simultaneously individually optimized for different quality needs and bandwidth constraints. Furthermore the camera features an integrated PIR sensor for detecting movements even in the dark, and a white LED for illuminating the scene at an event and supports I/O ports for connecting external devices. The product line NeXT supports all Axis cameras with firmware version 5.50.3 or higher. NeXT software was developed in accordance with the requirements of the ACAP platform that guarantees compatibility, flexibility and continuity. NeXTATM box camera Starting from a non-alarm state referred as «READY», NeXTATM application software profile is able to detect the presence of potential attacker with the aid of integrated sensors, motion detection, PIR sensors, noise sensors, intelligent video analysis and/or cross line detection, and initiate the approaching state. If the presence of the person extends beyond a predefined time limit, the system changes its state entering into the «WARNING» notifying, with an audio clip and a warning light, the potential attacker detection of an unusual behavior. If the presence of the person persists, without a regular card insertion, the system enters into the «ALARM» state, and a TCP Notification is sent to the alarm management security service. At every change of state a local, or remote, custom notification can be activated: such as audio clips, email, http connections, industrial protocol alerts. Conversely, if the activity of ATM card insertion occurs within a predefined period of time, the system changes its state and enters into «ALLOWED» state and plays a welcome message. At any time the surveillance staff, alerted by automatic notifications, can access to the live stream of the cameras, see the recording sequences and take appropriate actions. Similarly, for example, managing access to company headquarters with turnstiles, NeXT can be configured to detect the presence of persons with video analysis detectors, and going into the alarm state if an authorized badge in not passed the predefined time. Similarly, you can detect suspicious stays in front of the door of a building when, in the preset time, the door is not regularly opened or the alarm system is not been disarmed. NeXT can also be programmed to go into alarm and notify the event when a sound exceeds a certain threshold. In the previous examples can be notified, for example, a cry for help from ATM user assaulted. Moreover, NeXT alerts promptly when the camera has been tampered. When NeXT ATM BOX CAMERA enters into a state of «WARNING» or «ALARM» can send alerts and notifications in various ways: local activation of sirens, lighting of beacons, email, play audio clips, or signaling via HTTP or FTP to other systems. The application profiles of NeXT can be configured through a friendly user interface from any PC or mobile internet device. NeXT ATM, for example, comes with 6 pre-configured states: «READY», «APPROCHING», «WARNING», «ALARM», «LEAVING» and «ALLOWED», the logic of the state change is described in the diagram opposite: For each state specific may be associated specific actions of deterrence, according to the features of the camera, or to the available options in the environment.
Alerts and notifications The NeXTATM application profile has the following default actions linked to the various states: Actions V Light LED Status Ready Approaching Warning Alarm Aggression Allowed Leaving OFF ON Blinking Blinking Blinking ON OFF Recording OFF OFF ON ON ON OFF OFF Audioclip Clip 1 Clip 2 Clip 3 Clip 4 Alert Operator (Tcp connection) ON ON ON Depending on the functional needs, different actions can be linked to be taken for every state. For example, it is possible to detect the presence of intruders with an infrared sensors connected to NeXT ATM BOX CAMERA through I/O ports, or send the images of the alarm event via FTP to a remote server in the cloud. From a standard Pc, equipped with a standard browser, such as Internet Explorer, the administrator can set the appropriate parameters for tuning the application functionalities, and the user can stream the live images from the camera and play the recording. Inputs leading to the change of state: Timeout Motion detection PIR Noise detection Tampering Digital input TCP connections ACTIONs that can be taken for every state change: Switch on/off LED TCP connections: HTTP requests FTP transfers Send email Digital Output Custom Script Start/Stop recording Play audio clip
