THURSDAY, JUNE 21 SALON A Classroom BEST ACCESS SYSTEMS: Access Control 101 8am-12pm 4 hours Instructed by Bob Karrer This class is an access control overview that will help participants to understand the basics of access control systems. We will explore different types of access control, how they work and the components that are required to create an access control system. You will also have the opportunity to understand and consider some codes and standards that directly affect access control. Leave this presentation better prepared to ask questions that will help you build the access control system your customer is looking for. BEST ACCESS SYSTEMS: Exit Devices & Door Closers: Things You Should Know to Service, Install and Adjust 1pm-5pm 4 hours Instructed by Bob Karrer This class is intended to familiarize the attendee with installing and maintaining Exit Devices and Door Closers. The training session will include review of codes relating to requirements and use, proper selection of hardware, hands-on experiences for applications, and options for adding features in the field. Products 9am-10am 1 hour Instructed by Sheldon Herd This class will cover how to sell and upsell to customers who have a need for an electromechanical, wireless or electronic locking product but aren t sure about the product or feel it is too expensive. : Norton Power Operators 1pm-3pm 2 hours Instructed by Stephen Bell Reviewing the total Norton Power Operator options from. : Medeco X4 3pm-5pm 2 hours Instructed by Dale Bowman Reviewing Medeco X4 s technology to achieve a complete understanding of pinning and mechanical operation of Medeco s cores and cylinders. VAN GOGH B Classroom ALARM LOCK: Trilogy Lock Installation and Repair 8am-12pm 4 hours Instructed by Andy Phelps This class is designed for the beginner or experienced technician and will cover the proper installation technique along with some tips/tricks for an easier installation. Also covered will be how to repair the Alarm Lock Trilogy mortise and cylindrical locks. We will discuss what parts are replaceable and how to correctly remove and replace those parts. We will also share some tips on how to make the repair process easier. The student will also learn basic keypad programming commands associated with the T2 and T3 Trilogy locks as well as some of the more complex commands of the T3 locks.

FRIDAY, JUNE 22 VAN GOGH B Classroom ALARM LOCK: Networx Starter Kit 1pm-5pm 4 hours Instructed by Andy Phelps *STUDENTS MUST BRING LAPTOP* This class will cover the contents of the Networx Starter kit. The class will cover installation tips for the PDL6100 stand-alone access control lock including how to upgrade existing Trilogy locks to Networx. The DL Windows programming software will be installed on the student s laptop to show proper installation procedures. The student will be instructed in setting up a system with users and proximity cards and how to assign the user to the lock. The student will be instructed on how to properly set up the Networx gateway and discovering the PDL6100 stand-alone access control lock. The student will be shown how to send/receive programming using our Laptops to Networx products. The Global Emergency Commands to issue a Lockdown to the locks within the system from the PC and/or from any lock within the system will be demonstrated. SALON A Classroom BEST ACCESS SYSTEMS: School Security - CODE Compliant Classroom Door Locking Solutions 8am-12pm 4 hours Instructed by Bob Karrer There is an ever growing public concern for the safety of our schools. As a result, there are many products coming into the marketplace that do not meet the already established code requirements. In this presentation, we will take a look at what is available for security purposes that is code compliant and the concerns regarding those solutions that are not. BEST ACCESS SYSTEMS: BEST Interchangeable Core Combinating Workshop 1pm-5pm 4 hours Instructed by Jose Droira This class is targeted to individuals responsible for servicing and maintaining Interchangeable Core Masterkey systems. Subjects to be covered include: BEST Masterkey System Hierarchies, Developing a Masterkey System, Key Combinator & Cutting BEST Keys, Combinating BEST Cores, Record Keeping & Key Control, Troubleshooting, and Preventative Maintenance. At the conclusion of this program, participants will have an understanding of BEST Masterkey System Hierarchies and what goes into developing a Masterkey System. Participants will be able to explain the use of a Key Combinator, Cut BEST Keys, understand the intricacy of Combinating BEST Cores, recognize the Importance of Record Keeping & Key Control, perform Basic Troubleshooting, and suggest preventative maintenance.

ASSA: High Security Locksmith Certification Class 1pm-4pm 4 hours Instructed by Keith Tsantes This class includes in-depth, hands-on training on ASSA High Security Cylinders. We will discuss detailed information on the ASSA side bar system and the latest, patented, ASSA Twin Maximum + and Twin Maximum + Restricted platforms. You will have the opportunity to take apart and reassemble an ASSA cylinder. The class includes a short exam. Upon successful completion of the exam, the locksmith will receive a certificate from the factory authorizing them as an ASSA Certified Locksmith. All materials will be provided. SALON C Classroom DETEX: Exit Devices, Door Alarms, 3 Point Lock, & Door Operator Overview 8am-12pm 4 hours Instructed by Rick Hubbard A product overview of Detex s range of exit devices, door alarms, three point locks, and door operators.

MASTER LOCK: American Lock Multi-Cylinder Locks 3pm-4pm 1 hour Instructed by Pat Mulcahy Description TBD SALON E Classroom ALLEGION: Schlage Control & Residential Electronics 8am-12pm 4 hours As Multi-Family continues to evolve, the need to offer complete building solutions for the property becomes more relevant. In this class, learn about the mechanical and electronic solutions for Multi-Family. The class will also include sales and commissioning training on the Schlage Control. KABA MAS: DKX-10 Installation / Operation 8am-5pm 8 hours Instructed by Seth Bloomberg $275 (Register for both Kaba Mas classes for $500!) *MUST BE X-10 CERTIFIED TO ATTEND* Students learn to install and operate a Kaba Mas DKX-10 High Security Pedestrian Door Lock. The locking system is Approved by the General Services Administration (GSA) to meet Federal Specification FF-L-2890B, Type 3. Students who successfully complete this course will receive a diploma from Kaba Mas naming them as a factory trained, certified DKX-10 installation technician. Students must be able to prove that they are United States citizens.
