Vital product information pertaining to proper set-up and cautions are included. Failure to follow these instructions may cause shelving failure which may result in personal injury or property damage. RETAIN THIS MANUAL FOR FUTURE REFERENCE D A N G E R A shelving unit with drawers can tip over if improperly used, improperly loaded or if unit has not been properly anchored. Anchoring Instructions Single shelving units must have all four posts anchored directly to the floor Single face shelving rows must be anchored on all rear posts and every two front posts Double face shelving rows must be anchored on alternating front and rear posts C A U T I O N: These drawers contain no interlocking drawer mechanism that prevents more than one drawer to be open at a time. Exercise extreme caution tin opening drawers when fully loaded or opening more than one drawer at a time. Drawers in Shelving Part 1: Empty Unit Setup 4 A When installing drawers in an industrial unit, spacers (10544-00) must be added to each corner of the shelfs above and below the bank of drawers along with any other bolted shelf. When installing a 48 in. mounting upright, shelf brackets may be used for the shelf below the drawers as long an a base strip is bolted in place. Upright Size Distance Between Shelves (Fig. 1, A) 6" 6-5/16" 12" 12-5/16" 18" 18-5/16" 24" 24-5/16" 36" 36-5/16" 48" 48-5/16" Orient the spacer as shown in figure 2, and place it in between the shelf and post. Once the spacer is in place, bolt together and tighten.
Drawers in Shelving Part 2: Upright Install 5 Each upright is labeled with a LH or RH cut-out signifying which side of the unit to install it on. Starting with an empty Industrial shelving unit, shown on page 4 step 1, align the rear clearance holes on the upright over the mounting hardware for the back panel or back braces. Holding the panel in place, bolt the top front mounting tab to the post with a 1/4-20x5/8 screw (10466-00) and keps nut (07742-00). Snug by hand. Repeat step 2 to the remaining mounting hole location, and tighten with a socket wrench. Upright Height # of Mounting Locations per Upright 6 in. 4 12 in. 4 18 in. 4 24 in. 6 36 in. 8 48 in. 10
Drawers in Shelving Part 3: Slide Install 6 Align the rear lance of the outer profile with one of the square cutouts at the rear of the upright. Push the slide backwards until it engages. A slight tap with a rubber mallet may be required. A 2 Next insert the front lance of the outer profile into the square cutout at the front of the upright. Extend the middle profile and push the slide down until it snaps into position (Fig 2, A). Once installed, pull out the locking tab at the front (Fig 2, B). Slide details are on page 7. Based on the height of the drawer, count up from the top of the slide below to locate the next outer profile, refer to the table. 7 Slide Detail A liftout prevention tab (A) is punched above the front mounting tab on the cabinet profile to secure the slide. When removing a slide, wedge a screwdriver between the outer profile and mounting upright (B) to disengage the liftout tab. Lift the slide up and pull it out of the unit. Drawers in Shelving Part 4: Drawer Install 8 Install each drawer by aligning the drawer rail with the middle profile rollers installed previously. Once the drawer is fully closed, the locking tab should latch automatically 3 4-1/2 4-1/2 4-1/2 4-1/2 Install the remainder of the drawers into the unit, repeating steps 1 and 2. 6 6 6 9
Partition / Divider / Label Install 9 Divider Partition Partition Install Insert partition ends through rib slots around perimeter of drawer where required, making sure that bottom flange of the partition(s) is located to the right. Each partition must be attached to the drawer bottom at each slot using (2) #6 x 1/4 screws provided. Divider Install Insert divider ends through slots in drawerpartition where required. Install with flange to the rear of the drawer. To remove the labels in the aluminum drawer handle, simply push the label up within the handle and slide to the right. To reinstall, ensure the label has been moved fully to the left and dropped behind the catch in the end cap.
10 Drawer Removal 1 1 Open drawer 2 3 2 Locate safety slips on both sides of slide profile 3 Release both safety clips by applying a downward force. Drawer may now be removed by lifting up as you pull drawer from slides. 4 5 4 To reinstall drawer, first ensure that both safety clips are in the released state, then align drawer rails with the slide rollers. 5 Lift the front of drawer as you close. Closing the drawer fully will automatically lock the safety clips
