Dishwashers Design The Miele dishwasher range For convenience and perfect design harmony, Miele offers four different types of dishwashers. Freestanding dishwashers Fully freestanding, these dishwashers are self-contained with a robust top which can be used as a work surface. Because a freestanding dishwasher is not built in, it is easier to remove when moving house or during a kitchen refurbishment. Built-under dishwashers These appliances are ideal as replacement units in existing kitchens and can be installed in a kitchen run under a worktop. Built-under dishwashers are available in brilliant white and CleanSteel stainless steel. Integrated dishwashers For flowing and unified kitchen design, integrated dishwashers are fitted into the kitchen run and have to be clad with a kitchen furniture front panel or with a CleanSteel front panel from Miele. Fully integrated dishwashers The whole appliance front is clad with the same furniture front as your other kitchen units or with a Miele CleanSteel panel, allowing your appliance to integrate seamlessly into the design of your kitchen. 6
Dishwashers Appliance heights and widths Miele dishwasher sizes Miele dishwashers are available in a number of different sizes and heights, offering the optimum solution for your kitchen. Standard dishwashers (81 cm high, 60 cm wide) This is the standard niche dimension provided in the majority of households. XXL dishwashers (85 cm high, 60 cm wide) Built-under, integrated and fully integrated Miele dishwashers are also available as XXL models (85 cm high). XXL dishwashers offer 4 cm additional height in the cabinet, to the benefit of the upper basket: the higher basket offers even more flexibility and loading options, e.g. for long-stemmed glasses, large coffee mugs and other tall items. XXL dishwashers are often specified for new kitchens. Slimline dishwashers (81 cm high, 45 cm wide) Slimline dishwashers are ideal for households where space is at a premium, but still want everything a Miele dishwasher has to offer. 7

25 years of the cutlery tray And the success story continues... Miele's invention of the cutlery tray in 1987 revolutionised cutlery care: Never before was it possible to wash cutlery in a machine so hygienically and gently. Each item of cutlery is held separately which ensures perfectly washed and dried results and reduces the risk of scratching. The clean cutlery can be removed both conveniently and hygienically. Washing cutlery in the cutlery tray also frees up space in the lower basket. With the launch of Miele's sectioned cutlery tray in 1997, Miele made the use of dishwashers more convenient and more versatile. Then in 2010, Miele takes cutlery care onto the next level Miele's unique 3D cutlery tray. The 3D cutlery tray's special feature: It can be adjusted in all three directions. Dishwashers The 3D cutlery tray Patented 1) 3D cutlery tray a new dimension in cutlery care The newest innovation from the inventors of the cutlery tray: the intelligent Miele 3D cutlery tray can be varied in width, depth and height to accommodate every load perfectly. Creating more space and flexibility, the 3D cutlery tray can be lowered in the centre to hold larger utensils such as ladles and whisks. Thanks to Miele GlassCare technology, the rinse water is automatically set to the correct hardness for the load, keeping your glasses beautiful for longer. DetergentAgent - for maximum cleaning efficiency The DetergentAgent function optimises the wash cycle and resources to suit the composition of the detergent used and whether it contains rinse aid and salt. For best washing and drying results Miele recommend dispensing salt, detergent and rinse aid separately. SensorDry 2) Load size and ambient temperature in the kitchen can affect the drying performance of a dishwasher. SensorDry ensures a perfect drying result in the Sensor wash programme, even in less than perfect conditions. Miele baskets move easily and smoothly, whether empty or full. Cutlery basket The new Miele cutlery basket can be positioned on the front row of spikes in the lower basket. Its modern, superior appearance emanates Miele s exemplary quality. Dishwashers with a cutlery tray can also be fitted with a cutlery basket to accommodate additional items of cutlery. MultiComfort zone in lower basket The new and unique MultiComfort zone in the lower basket allows plates of different dimensions (up to 35cm) to be positioned in three rows. Chopping boards, serving plates and hollow items such as bowls and beer glasses can be accommodated easily. For larger pots and pans and other such bulky items the entire lower basket can be rearranged very simply to provide a large flat surface. Ergonomic basket handles Ergonomic basket handles, of superior quality materials and embossed with the Miele logo, make loading and unloading easier. 20
Jumbo cup rack in upper basket Large cups for milky coffee, traditional coffee and tea cups, coffee mugs and muesli bowls the width-adjustable rack is the perfect place to keep a whole variety of dishes safely and neatly stowed. Height-adjustable upper basket On all Miele dishwashers, the upper basket is height-adjustable and can even slope to one side, offering a total of 9 positions, which allows you to make maximum use of space. Hinged row of spikes in upper basket The left-hand side of the upper basket can either be used for cups and glasses as usual, or with the row of spikes removed to give a flat surface for bowls and dishes. Height-adjustable glassware rail in upper basket Lots of guests, too many glasses? No problem for a Miele dishwasher. The height-adjustable glassware rail on the left-hand side of the upper basket creates even more space for long-stemmed glasses. Ideal for glassware Ideal space for glasses: height-adjustable glass holders and a special glassware rail in the lower basket holds long-stemmed glasses securely for gentle, spotless cleaning. Hinged bottle holder Bottles, vases and other tall and slim items can be accommodated securely in the lower basket. The bottle holder is positioned over the jets to allow thorough cleaning of the interior of the vessels. It can be simply folded away if more space is required for other items of crockery. 21
