OCTOBER 2 8, 2017 This fall, Alumni Reunion Weekend will coincide with Homecoming to create a Marquette experience like no other! Students, faculty and staff, along with alumni, parents and community friends, will converge on campus for one amazing, multi-generational celebration. Attendees will enjoy great food, music, fun competitions, class reunion celebrations, family-friendly activities, and opportunities to give back to the Milwaukee community. KEY EVENTS THURSDAY, OCTOBER 5 Class of 1967 Golden Jubilee President s Dinner Evening, Marquette Campus Reignite Marquette friendships and memories and help create new ones by sponsoring the Class of 1967 President s Reception and Dinner. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 6 Alumni and Student Networking Event Breakfast, Marquette Campus Support Marquette students striving to Be the Difference, as they launch their careers. This event facilitates connections between students and Marquette alumni, equipping soon-to-be-graduates with valuable networking skills and knowledge from leading industry professionals. Estimated attendance: 300 Golden Jubilee Mass and Brunch Time TBD, Marquette Campus Block Party 3:30 7:00 p.m., Parking Lot F (across from the Al McGuire Center) Celebrate the start of Marquette s basketball season at this outdoor event for Reunion + Homecoming Weekend. The annual Block Party will feature special appearances by the men s and women s basketball teams, including autograph sessions and opportunities to meet players, coaches and staff. Estimated attendance: 2,500 Bed Races 4:00 p.m., 12th Street (between West Wisconsin Avenue and West Wells Street) Consider sponsoring this spirited Marquette tradition as Marquette alumni, students, faculty/staff careen down 12th street, racing beds in a hearty competition. Marquette Madness 7:00 p.m., Al McGuire Center Reunion Class Parties 7:00/7:30 p.m., Various Locations Reignite Marquette friendships and memories and help create new ones by sponsoring a class party at iconic spots on campus and around the city. This year s reunion classes feature graduates of 72, 77, 82, 87, 92, 97, 02, 07 and 12. Estimated attendance: varies by party SATURDAY, OCTOBER 7 5K Run/Walk 10:30 a.m., Location TBD Join the Marquette community for a fun 5K run/walk, featuring a special route for children and families. Proceeds from this event will support Marquette s Midnight Run, a volunteer service program focused on the particular needs of the hungry and homeless people living in the community around Marquette. Estimated attendance: 2,000 Block Party 3:00 5:00 p.m., Parking Lot F (across from the Al McGuire Center) Welcome back Marquette alumni as the fun continues at Saturday s Block Party. Attendees will enjoy activities, games and a grill-out at this family-friendly event. Estimated attendance: 3,000 Concert Gates Open at 5:00 p.m., Concert begins at 7:00 p.m., Central Mall Help us transform Marquette s Central Mall by sponsoring the 2017 Reunion + Homecoming Concert, featuring a top musical act. Sponsors will be invited to a private hospitality suite prior to the beginning of the concert. Estimated attendance: 4,000+ SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8 Reunion Mass 9:00 a.m., Church of the Gesu Join us for a special Reunion Mass as we close out the week with a celebration of faith.
