This is necessary since the impact sound insulation of a floor structure which has been tested on a homogenous solid concrete ceiling cannot be used for the determination of an evaluated impact sound insulation on wooden ceilings. Therefore, for the determination of the single value of the evaluated impact sound insulation on a stacked wooden ceiling, the determination of a separate reference ceiling is required. The standard impact sound level for the reference wood joinst ceilings for the determination of the "evaluated impact sound insulation" deltalt,w is specified in ÖNORM EN ISO 717-1.
