Weice WTUV Weice UV Accelerated Weathering Testers are built to reproduce the weathering effects that occur when materials are exposed to sunlight (either direct or through window glass) and moisture as rain or dew in actual usage by using fluorescent UV light, and water spray apparatus. Fluorescent UV Lamps UVA-340 lamps typically have little or no UV output below 300 nm, they usually do not degrade materials as rapidly as UVB lamps, but they may weathering. Tests using UVA-340 lamps have been found useful for comparing different nonmetallic materials such as polymers and textiles. Spectral Power Distributions of UVA-340 Lamp and Sunlight This short wavelength UV can produce rapid polymer degradation and often causes degradation by mechanisms that do not occur when materials are exposed to sunlight. Moisture Condensation Condensation simulates the dew on materials in outdoor, this is available for all WTUV models. The immersed heater is made by #304 stainless steel, the stainless steel float control and auto-fill enable the testers maintain the water level automatically. Water Spray Water spray simulates the rain on materials in outdoor, this is only available for some of WTUV models. Rainfall cools down the materials which being heated up by sun rapidly. This function is perfect for some materials having more severe requirements than condensation. Four stainless steel water spray nozzles are able to cover all the testing areas and distribute uniform rainfall. 3

Irradiance Control System The irradiance control is consisted by sensors and controllers. Quantity of sensors and controllers are varied by different models. Irradiance control system is developed by Beijing Normal University. High accuracy system automatically maintains the irradiance at set point by adjusting the current to UV lamps. Irradiance is presetable and visible by touch screen easily. Specimen Mounting Stainless steel made specimen support is designed to mount various specimens with the thickness from 0.1cm to 10 cm. * 1 Two testing areas enlarge your testing ability greatly.
