T8 and T5 replacement lamps must meet the Color Rendering Index (CRI) and Rated Lamp Life standards listed, and the manufacturer s specification sheet must document these characteristics for each ballast type. Controls Occupancy Sensors Rebate applies to hardwired passive infrared and/or ultrasonic detectors that control interior lighting fixtures only. Self-contained wall-box lighting sensors are defined as units without an exterior switch pack or relay that are designed to replace a standard wall switch. Fixture-integrated sensors are defined as units that are factory-installed in a lighting fixture and used in interior installations and must control all lamps in the fixture. New fixtures equipped with fixture-integrated sensors used in stairwells, halls, or garages may qualify under the Bi-level Stairwell / Hall / Garage Fixtures category. For fluorescent lamps, programmed rapid start ballasts are generally recommended for use with occupancy sensors. Customers shall ensure that the appropriate ballast is in use for the installation. Commercial Air Conditioning Upgrade Limitations Rebate amounts will be calculated based on unit capacity to the nearest 6,000 Btu/h. Single phase, split systems < 65,000 Btu/h using water/evaporative cooled condensers may be eligible provided that the a/c system has a currently, active (not archived) ARI reference number and efficiency rating. MID will determine qualification for rebate. Only air conditioners with independently verified performance ratings are eligible for rebate. For Split or Packaged Unitary Systems < 65,000 Btu/h (single phase), units must be listed on the CEE/ARI HVAC Directory (http://www.ceehvacdirectory.org/). All other units must be listed on the ARI Directory of Certified Product Performance (http://www.aridirectory.org/ari/). Certificate of ARI-Certified Performance for the installed unit(s) must be attached to application. The current ARI reference number (not archived) for the product(s) installed must be entered on the Supplemental Data Sheet. A California licensed contractor with a C-20 license must perform installation. An exception to this requirement may be made in cases where a customer has their own qualified employee(s), as designated by appropriate job title, install qualifying air conditioning at their business location. Contractor must complete and sign the Information and Certification portion of the rebate application. For rooftop installations, customer must provide code-compliant access for MID inspection.
