History Spring Place is a well-preserved late C16/early C17 house with a late medieval section dated Mid/late 15th century. The hall bay window found in the drawing room and external gable are dated 1634. The quality of craftsmanship is high and it was apparently once known as the Old Manor House and is a fine example of a Grade II* listed country house. The current owners have been there for over 20 years, and have sympathetically and thoroughly restored the property. Spring Place Spring Place is an exceptional period country house presented and maintained to a very high standard. There are many characteristics which feature throughout the property with exposed timbers, oak doors, crittall windows and some beautiful fireplaces with carved rosettes and Inglenook s. The dining room has a window from Hadlow Castle, the kitchen has an Aga, the drawing and sitting rooms have wood burning stoves. The layout of the house works extremely well, with well-proportioned and light rooms throughout. The reception rooms are of particular note and enjoy good ceiling heights.
