GENERAL CARE AND SAFETY GUIDE IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS: Read all instructions before use. Always follow these basic precautions when using an electrical device: Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or worktop and ensure that it does not touch hot surfaces. Place the appliance safely in the middle of the worktop. Do not touch the hot surfaces. Use the handles to lift or move the appliance. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Due to the risk of injuries the use of third party accessories is not recommended by the manufacturer. Do not use on not heat-resistant glass, wooden surfaces or tablecloths. Place some heat-resistant material under the deep fryer. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. Disconnect from mains power supply when not in use and before cleaning. Allow the appliance to cool down before removing and cleaning components. Always switch the appliance off before removing the inner pan. Be very careful when moving your deep fryer if it contains hot oil or other hot liquids. Make sure that the handle is correctly attached to the frying basket. See the detailed instructions. Do not use outdoors in the rain. Insert the mains plug in the appliance and then the other plug in the wall socket. To turn off, first set the switch to off position and then disconnect from mains power supply. Do not use near a hot gas cooker or electric cooker, and also not in a hot oven. To prevent the risk of electric shock this appliance is equipped with a plug for a grounded electrical outlet that only fits in a matching wall outlet. If the plug does not fit, please contact a qualified electrician for assistance. Never attempt changing the plug. Do not use metal scouring pads for cleaning. Small metal pieces can come loose and cause shortcircuiting of electric components, which can cause electric shock or damage the device. To reduce the risk of electric shock do not submerge the deep fryer, cord or plug in water or other liquids. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; farm houses; by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; bed and breakfast type environments. The deep fryer is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or a separate remotecontrol system The deep fryer is not intended to be used as a standard frying pan. Only use the appliance for its intended use. Keep these instructions in a safe place. Set the control knob always to off` position and disconnect from mains power supply when the device is not in use. Let the deep fryer always cool down before cleaning. Never add water to hot oil.
KEEP THESE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS IN A SAFE PLACE. Do not submerge the deep fryer s power base in water and do not place it in your dishwasher. Clean the appliance with care. Check the plug and the fryer body of the appliance, ensure they are dry. Please locate the appliance and plug accessible to the power socket. When using this appliance, provide adequate air space above and on all sides for air circulation. Do not allow this appliance to touch curtains, wall covering, clothing, dishtowels or other flammable materials during use. Keep the appliance away from children. If you use blocks of fat, cut them into pieces and dry them carefully before placing them into the fryer body. Operating Instructions Ensure the deep fryer is turned off Place oil into the fryer body (the level must always be between the two marks on the oil container wall). Plug e deep fryer into the power socket, the indicator POWER comes on, showing the appliance is powered, set the temperature controller to the desired temperature depending on what you are going to cook, the indicator HEAT comes on. When the indicator HEAT goes out (after approx 6-8 minutes) the fryer has reached the required temperature. Recommend temperature settings for your reference : onion 130 spring-roll 150 fish 170 chicken drumstick 180 potato 190 Attach the handle into basket, then put the food in the basket, and then lower the basket into the oil slowly. When the food is cooked, turn the temperature controller to the position OFF, and then unplug the appliance. Open the lid, raise the basket and drain the oil. After cooking, wait until the oil cools down; drain the oil out of the flyer body. Oil can be left in the fryer with its basket and lid on. For best results, change the oil regularly.
Care and maintenance Unplug the appliance when cleaning. Clean the out side of the fryer and the lip with a damp cloth. Detach the handle from the basket, wash the basket with hot water or washing-up liquid, rinse and dry carefully. Never immerse the appliance in water to wash it. Caution If you want to clean or replacing the filter, detach the filter from the top lid. After cleaning or replacing the filter, remount it back. Whatever the recipe used, the food must be perfectly dry, this will avoid overflowing and make the oil or fat last longer. Never inject the water into bottom lid. Never connect the power when fryer body is empty. If there is any breakdown or damage, the appliance must be repaired by specialised people. Non-specialised people are not permitted to dismantle or repair the appliance. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces. TWO YEAR WARRANTY Your Goldair product has been inspected and tested and is guaranteed subject to the following for a period to two years from the date of purchase against defects in workmanship and materials. During this period, such defects will be rectified by repair or replacement of the product purchased. Your product contains no user serviceable components and this warranty becomes invalid if in our opinion the product has been misused, abused, incorrectly installed, tampered with, connected to an electrical supply not corresponding with the name plate specification, or subjected to power surges. The warranty does not include any labour or other associated expense that may be involved in removal or installation of the product. Normal wear and tear is expressly excluded. If your Goldair product fails to operate satisfactorily, please return it to the retailer from whom it was purchased. To obtain a repair or replacement product under this warranty, you will need to produce satisfactory evidence of date of purchase. The completed warranty and purchase receipt must be presented with the product. The warranty should be filled out at the time of purchase. It is in your interest to make sure this is done. If the product is to be replaced (cannot be repaired) then that replacement will be of the same or similar product or accessory excluding packaging, instruction card etc. Where a replacement product is supplied, this shall be guaranteed for the balance of the original warranty period. Any model that is no longer available will be replaced by a model of a value and with such features as we consider appropriate in the circumstances. Goldair Ltd is not responsible for freight forwarding charges, losses or damage in transit. If service is required after the warranty period has expired, the product should be returned to a qualified electrical technician. Service outside of the warranty period will be at your cost. Consumers Guarantee Act (1993). In accordance with the above act consumers are advised that: The manufacturer does not undertake that repair facilities and parts are necessarily available for this product. If any of the provisions of the foregoing are contrary to any relevant legislation, then that provision shall be deemed to be excluded from the warranty and the rest of the provisions will continue to apply.
