Winter 2015 Bare and Plant Sale Mark Webber s Landscaping Company Nursery and Farm has been established and doing business since 1997 and grows over 1400 different species of plants on its farm in western Montgomery County Ohio. Our family farm specializes in hardy native plants that are hard to find and unique to most local landscapes. Each year we offer many over stocked plants at a reduced cost by what we call our annual Winter Bare and Plant Sale. Many of the sale offering are reduced over 75% over normal retail cost. To receive the discounted prices all orders must be pre-paid by February 23.2015 at 5pm. The way plants are sold Bare - are dug from the field while they are still dormant and shipped without any soil around the s. They will be packaged in a plastic bag with a packing material that is slightly moist. This packing material can be sphagnum moss, wood shavings or even paper. Starter pots-plants are provided in a container with system fully intact, typically a 3-4 container size. #1 Division perennial plants lifted and divided in a bare form, harvested from our field and ready to plant. ed Cuttings-are plants that have been started by pruning a part of an existing plant and we have grown s on the plant part for plantings.. They will be packaged in a plastic bag with a packing material that is slightly moist. This packing material can be sphagnum moss, wood shavings or even paper. 1gal-are plants that are grown on our farm in a 1gal size pot. The container must be removed when planted. 2gal-are plants that are grown on our farm in a 2 gal pot. The container must be removed when planted. 3gal- are plants that are grown on our farm in a 3 gal pot. The container must be removed when planted. BxB(Balled and Burlap)-are larger plants that have been harvested by hand digging or by a machine called a tree spade that have burlap and wire baskets that hold the soil ball in place. These plants are large and are heavy in weight and may require specialized equipment to handle. We do offer professional planting services for these size of plants. Why do you offer these plants for sale only in the winter? Many of the offerings on this list are bare plants which means we have to dig them, grade them and prepare them to make the journey from our farm to your home in your vehicle. Since the digging is only done when the plants are in dormancy, we in many 1

cases have extra plants that we don t need for our production of finish plants for landscape sales, but can be easily sold to the general public at significant reduced cost. Many of the B&B as well as container plants we offer are overstock items that are in excellent condition but offered at significant reduced prices to you since we need the room to grow more plants for future needs. When will my plants be available? Your plant order should be ready sometime after April 6, 2015 and our office will contact you 3-5 days prior to pick up at our farm. Will there be planting instructions? Yes we provide a detailed tip sheet on the care, installation and after care of the plants that you have purchased.
