Technical Manual Binair Monobloc Heat Pump MODEL BINAIR12

Introduction Disassembly of the machine must be carried out by any professional or any special agency assigned by us. All operation and maintenance instructions as specified in this manual must be complied. Only spare parts supplied by us can be used for this unit. This Monobloc heat pump unit is manufactured in compliance with design and manufacturing standards to ensure high-quality operation, high reliability and excellent adaptability. This manual contains all information necessary for proper installation, commissioning, disassembly and maintenance of the equipment, and must be read carefully prior to disassembly or maintenance of it. We take no responsibility for any damage to person or machinery resulted from improper installation, commissioning or maintenance of the unit or failure to comply with any provisions in this manual. Any installation activity must be carried out by any well-trained professional. Warranty A start-up sheet must be completely filled to validate the warranty. The warranty scope must be based on the following conditions: Base on the customer purchasing date; - 1 years on a full exchange of the main inner core unit. - 3 year on all parts - 5 year on the compressor Working principal This Binair-12 Monobloc Heat Pump is a small central system that don t requires any outdoor unit. The left side and right side are identical. The installer can select witch side (left or right) is the indoor side by selecting the value of parameter F01. (Refer to the parameter table). If the right side had been selected to be the indoor side, this mean the left side is connected to the IN and OUT outdoor dampers. The indoor side is connected to duct the same way as any other central system. In heating mode, the outdoor fan take the air from the inlet side ducts. Then, the compressor extract the heat when the air pass through the exchanger and exhaust it to the outlet side duct to outside the building.

1.0 Dimension of the unit : Note: All dimensions are in mm.

2.0 Installation sketch: Unit suspended using spring Note: The spring is very important to use to avoid vibration to the structure Unit sitting on a shell (must be sitting on spring)

3.0 Duct work and dimensions The Binair-12 can deliver up to 650CFM with 0,1 In wc static pressure. The installer must work in accordance of the best rules of air flows in duct. The both side of the unit are the return side. The dimensions of the flanges are 14 inch X 14 inch. The dimension of the 2 supply flanges on top are 4 inch X 12 inch. For the supply; We recommend to use an insulated supply duct of 12 inch X 12 inch X 24 inch height. On this supply plenum, install the round duct as follow; - 8 round duct of 5 inch - 6 round duct of 6 inch For the return; We recommend to use an insulated return duct of 14 inch X 14 inch X 12 inch length. On this return plenum, install the round duct as follow; - 1 round insulated duct of 12 inch - 2 round insulated duct of 8 inch 4.0 Connecting drain hose Each drain must have their own P-Trap. I good slope must be respected to allow the water evacuated easily. 5.0 Controller operation

5.1 ON/OFF In power-on status, press Power Button and hold it for 0.5 second to power the equipment off; unit model is displayed in the screen; OFF is displayed in primary display area and the temperature of the air is displayed in secondary display area. In power-off status, press Power Button and hold it for 0.5 second to power the equipment on; unit model is displayed in the screen; the temperature of inlet water is displayed in primary display area while the temperature of outlet water is displayed in secondary display area. 5.2 Mode Selection In main interface for activating a mode; click the mode button to switch between cooling, heating and automatic mode.

5.3 Temperature Setting You can set an appropriate target temperature in cooling/heating/automatic mode. When a target temperature is set in automatic model, the unit performs refrigeration when the ambient temperature is higher than the target temperature and vice-versa. (To set a target temperature, click Up /Down in the main interface to activate the target temperature value, and then click the Up /Down again to adjust the value) Click the Mode button to save the setting and return the main interface. Click Power to discard the setting and return the main interface. Note: If no operation is performed within 5 seconds, the system will automatically store the previous setting and return to the main interface.

5.4 Clock setting In the main interface, press Clock to activate time digit and press it again to activate hour digit, and then modify the hour by using Up /Down Button. Follow the same step to set minute. Press power button to discard the setting and quit from clock setting; if no operation is performed within 5 seconds, the system will automatically store the setting and return to the main interface.

5.5 Lock the keypad You can lock the keypad after finishing setting to avoid any unintentional or unauthorized operation of by others. To lock the keyboard, long press Power Button for 5 seconds in the main interface. In locking statue, long press Power Button for 5 seconds to unlock the keyboard. Caution: In case of alarm or repower-up after power failure, the system will automatically unlock the keyboard. 6.0 Parameter Setting To access the parameter setting, press and hold the MODE/SET button until 000 appears (10sec). Then, use the arrow button to access the number 66, then press the MODE/SET button to confirm. You are now in the parameter settings. 7.0 Fault display In case of any fault, the equipment may display corresponding fault code. For the meaning of the fault code, refer to the list of error codes.

8.0 Operating the unit with a thermostat This design use a return temperature sensor on each side. According witch side is the indoor side (F01 parameter), the indoor side temperature sensor and outdoor side temperature sensor will be selected. The reading of the room temperature will be using this return temperature sensor, so a room thermostat is not necessary. If a thermostat is used, it must be a batteries powered thermostat. Note that 24 Volt is not required. Connect the thermostat to the thermostat terminal inside the unit. (R-Y-O). The jumper master/slave must be installed for thermostat control. The parameter R01 must be set at 15 and parameter R02 must be set at 25. The unit can now be controlled by the thermostat. R is connected to the GND of the PC1000 controller Y is connected to the Input DI01 O is connected to the input DI05 Install Jumper between DI06 and GND 9.0 Connecting the backup heater The signal to control the backup heater is H1-H2 connector. It provide only a contact. When the backup is activated, H1 and H2 will be short-circuit. The control logic to activate the backup refer to the parameter R12, R13, R14 and R15. Note that in defrost operation, the backup is automatically activated.
