Whether you re a first year student or a returning resident, move-in can be a stressful time that requires some planning to go smoothly. This move-in guide is designed to help ease the hustle and bustle of move-in day at Granville. Our staff is here to assist you, so if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let us know! Granville Towers is committed to running an energy-conscious operation. Flatten cardboard boxes and dispose of them in a dumpster labeled cardboard only. Pack your belongings in plastic crates and tubs. You can continue to use them to store items on your closet floor and under your bed as well as having them to reuse at the end of the year. Look for Energy-Star certified microwaves, TVs, etc. when shopping for your room!
PACKING LIST Packing for college can be a large task in and of itself, so we ve compiled a list of common items that are useful and popular among college students. We recommend that you pack conservatively, as space in the room is limited and there is no additional storage available. Also, talk with your roommate about who will bring big items such as televisions, microwaves, etc. to avoid unnecessary duplicates. SUGGESTIONS If you live close to home or plan to go home before the semester ends, bring only the essentials, like seasonal clothes. Pre-dispose of as much packaging as you can to avoid having a ton of left over boxes and wrapping to throw away. WHAT TO BRING: Laptop Printer (USB cords must be used with all wireless printers.
