Superior Mirror Optics The power of precision Our extremely advanced and sophisticated mirror optics make it the industry leader. These optics, coupled with unique signal processing, make our motion sensors more sensitive and enhance their stability in challenging environments. This ensures reliable detection. In a pioneering move, we have combined both step focus and gliding focus optical systems in a single-mirror design, resulting in a powerful hybrid optical system. The gliding focus principle means each mirror segment creates a continuous curtain. This is achieved by the focal point continuously gliding between a short (undercrawl) and a long (long range) distance, as the mirror surface progresses from top to bottom. In combination with the new generation of curtain mirror optics, this fifth dimension distinguishes typical - or ingenious - dubious signals from true warnings. 5D signal processing comes on top of the already extremely effective signal analysis of shape (1D), duration (2D), speed (3D) and size (4D). Where the environment is or becomes noisy, digital signal processing evaluates the situation and switches to 5D mode to execute an additional slow signal trend analysis. The result is a range of PIR motion sensors that combine high sensitivity detection with strong immunity to false alarms. Vector motion sensors with pattern recognition are a real breakthrough for the security industry. They are the first true motion sensors - detecting not just movement, but movement with intent. An enhanced, patented pyro-electric sensor comprising four elements instead of two - effectively doubles the detection coverage of the Vector sensor. Vector motion sensors are capable of detecting not just the presence of a moving thermal source, but also the direction. This is a major advancement in motion-sensing capability. Advanced Anti-Masking protection Grade 3 anti-masking and beyond We provide the best-available grade 3 anti-masking technology in its PIR, Vector and Dual motion sensors. We use its own patented Active Infra Red (AIR) technology with a unique optical design to provide protection not only outside the detector, but inside it too - exceeding EN50131 grade 3 requirements. This provides superior protection against sabotage techniques such as spraying, covering and device penetration. It will detect the widest variety of materials, sprays and lubricants. The VE735AM extends this further with multi-channel anti-masking. Self-diagnostics A full self-diagnosis regime tests the pyro-electric sensor circuitry on a routine basis and can be triggered remotely from a control panel. This, combined with the fact that the anti-masking circuitry is continuously monitored, ensures the detector is always operating correctly.
