Connec on Size: 3 or 4 Model #: MAXI VENT Item #: 20302 An air admittance valve shall be acceptable as a vent termination for any individual vent, common vent, circuit vent, loop vent, island fixture vent, vent stack or stack vent that is provided to prevent siphonage of a fixture trap. An air admittance valve can be used as an alternative to extending a vent through the roof (or sidewall) to the open atmosphere. A. The valve within the Trap-Vent opens and admits fresh air when the negative pressure occurs from a fixture discharging into the system. This equalizes the pressure within the system and protects the trap seal. When the flow stops, the valve closes by gravity, preventing any transmission of sewer gas.
