First international standard provides guidance on sustainable procurement Your supply chain can have a big impact on your organization s performance and reputation. PAS 2030 has been revised. Are you ready for the transition? The Energy Company Obligation regulations have changed The standard for energy efficiency measures has been revised The standard on requirements for the installation of energy efficiency measures (EEM) in existing buildings has recently been revised. PAS 2030 has been expanded to include additional installer requirements relating to the validation of design content as well as other changes coming from user recommendations. Energy Company Obligation (ECO) Scheme The UK Government commissioned the update to PAS 2030 to support proposals for the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme and strengthen the pre-installation survey in retrofit activity. The 2017 version of PAS 2030 should improve the assessment and design of measures delivered under the scheme, whilst providing greater technical assurance than before. In line with the revision, the Government has now updated the ECO regulations to refer to the 2017 version of PAS 2030. What does this mean? The Government will require all installation companies to be certified against PAS 2030 for ECO measures from 1 April 2017. This will ensure that all installation companies are operating to the same minimum standard. However, as it may take time for installation companies to become compliant with the updated PAS 2030 standard, the Government will allow all measures referred to in PAS and completed on or after 1 April 2017, to be installed in accordance with either PAS 2030:2014 or PAS 2030:2017 up until 31 May 2017. VDA QMC Volume 6 Part 3, Process Audit, 3rd revised edition, December 2016 The well-established Audit Standard VDA 6.3 from 2010 has been completely revised with the 2016 edition, our collective experience has been utilised to update and optimise the volume. The interaction of the process audit standard VDA 6.3 with other VDA publications, especially Maturity Level Assurance for New Parts (MLA) and Robust Production Processes (RPP) has been strengthened. In this volume the requirements are given for process specific content. Thus the distinction between process and system audits is made clearer. Furthermore the questionnaire has been revised both in content and structure. The interface between hardware and software in products with embedded software has been included. However, for a detailed evaluation of software development other methods are to be used (Automotive SPICE, CMMI). The content of the process audit for services has also been revised, the calculation of results has been adjusted, and all questions are now weighed equally.
