ATTENTION!! Please, study this manual carefully before installation. IMPORTANT!! Please, find the connection diagram and installation details for this device in Installation and connection section of this manual. We recommend to assign the installation of the thermostat and the heating system to a qualified specialist. Only a qualified electrician should perform all connections and power networking of the device. The installation instructions and connection diagram don t supplant professional skill of the device installer. The warranty policy does not cover malfunctions of the device, caused by mechanical damage, in cases where the failure is a result of faulty installation and operation and when the device is used for purposes and under conditions that are not provided in this manual.
APPLICATION The TP 510 thermostat (Figure 1) is designed to control underfloor electric heating systems (heating mats, film heaters or cable sections). The thermostat maintains comfort heating temperature and ensures rational power consumption CONTROLS AND INDICATION 1. Signal LED 2. Temperature control knob 3. Setting marks Figure 1
ADJUSTMENT AND OPERATION Switch on / switch off the thermostat The thermostat is equipped with a temperature control knob and signal LED, which indicates that the heating system is in switch on mode. The temperature control knob acts as ON/OFF switch when the knob is turned counter-clockwise to downright position, the thermostat is switched off. To switch it on, just turn the knob clockwise. Adjustment of maintenance temperature The thermostat maintains comfort heating temperature in a range from +5 to +45 С. After the switching on the thermostat, turn the knob clockwise to upright position (to LED signal). The LED will switch on indicating heating system energized condition. When desired comfort temperature is reached, turn the knob counter-clockwise until the LED switches off.
In this position, the desired temperature will be fixed. To increase temperature, turn the knob clockwise a little bit; to decrease temperature turn the knob counter-clockwise. Installation guide of the thermostat TP 510 Delivery kit 1. Thermostat TP 510 2. Floor temperature sensor 3. Screw terminal to connect an earthing wire 4. Technical Certificate. User Manual 5. Packaging box Installation and connection Tooling and materials needed to installation: 1. Plastic corrugated tube with diameter not less than 16 mm (length of the tube depends on the height where the thermostat will be installed) 2. Installation junction box, flush-mounted 3. Straight end screwdriver 4. Tester to locate phase voltage wire
IMPORTANT!! Switch off the network power before installing, testing or replacing the device. Only a qualified electrician should perform all connections and power networking of the device. Installation of the floor temperature sensor The floor temperature sensor should be put inside plastic corrugated tube. The end of the tube should be closed with a stopper in order to prevent from concrete mixture or tile adhesive glue penetration at the warm floor system installation. The corrugated tube with sensor inside should be placed on the floor at the same height as heating cable, between the loops with the equal distances from them (Figure 2). ATTENTION!! The installation of the floor sensor must be done in the same time as heating mat (or section) installation.
Figure 2 Other end of the corrugated tube with the sensor s connection wire inside should be laid into prepared wall cave (chase) and finished in the junction box. Unused excess of the tube and connection wire should be cut as applicable. Installation of the thermostat unit Preparation of electrical connections: Install flush-mounted junction box and intermediate junction box (if used).
Lay out power line cables, heating mat (section) cold leads and floor connection wire to the junction box. Apply voltage to power line cable, determine its phase and neutral cores by tested and mark them accordingly. Connect all wires to thermostat screw terminal according to appropriate wire diagram: - floor sensor must be connected to terminals 1-2 (no polarity); - power line neutral to terminal 5; - power line phase to terminal 6; - heating section or mat cold lead wire white or brown to terminal 3; - heating section or mat cold lead wire blue to terminal 4; - heating section or mat cold lead screen wire green-yellow to connect to ground as follows: if you have two-conductor supply network (without earthing conductor) the cold lead screen wire of the section or mat is connected to neutral (N) conductor of the power network, to terminal 5 (see Figure 3); if you have three-conductor supply network (with separate earthing conductor) the cold lead screen wire of the section or mat is connected to the earthing conductor of the power network via external screw terminal (included in the delivery kit) (see Figure 4).

Installation of the thermostat unit Disassemble the unit: 1. Remove the thermostat s cover (front panel). To do this, press the fixing clamps (one, than another), located on the bottom side of the panel, by thin screwdriver, pulling the cover at that (Figure 5-1). 2. Remove the cover (Figure 5-2). 3. Mount the rear thermostat cover into a junction box by fixing with two screws on left and right side. The assembly of equipment is performed in the reverse order of steps. front cover back cover Figure 5-1 Figure 5-2
The assembly of equipment Install the front cover back to the place pressing it by hand up to both clamps click, ensure that the front cover fits tight to the rear cover fixed to the wall.
