GSAS CERTIFIED GREEN PROFESSIONAL Workshop Venue: Qatar National Convention Centre, Doha Qatar Workshop Overview GSAS CGP Workshop is developed to empower real estate practitioners and professionals with the necessary tools and means of sustainable development giving them the opportunity to create sustainable building projects which minimize ecological impact while addressing the specific sustainable needs of the region. The workshop is an intensive 3-days training program that offers: 1. Training to become GSAS Certified Green Professional. 2. Latest knowledge and understanding of GSAS green building practices and principles, and how to apply them. 3. Guidance to GSAS procedures, tools, applications and assessment requirements. 4. Necessary educational materials to support them during their practice. Workshop Audience The workshop is intended for all Individuals with Engineering background and with experience in design and/or construction. Architects as well as civil, mechanical and electrical engineers, whose background and experience are in building design and construction, will fit well within the required qualifications.

GSAS Certified Green Professional Certificate: for those who pass the Online GSAS CGP Exam Workshop Instructor Dr. Essam Elsarrag R&D Director, GORD Dr. Essam Elsarrag is a Director Research and Development at the Gulf Organisation for Research & Development. He has more than 20 years of experience in higher education and building industry, gained through his work in the Middle East and Europe. Dr. Elsarrag has specialist expertise in HVAC design, energy efficiency, energy modeling and developed energy strategy programs for well reputed consultants in the UK deploying passive design, low and zero carbon technologies and efficient central cooling and heating plants that include combined cooling, heating and power including absorption cooling, biomass and ground source heat pumps for mixed used schemes. In additional to his work as a consultant, he continues to be active in scientific research in buildings and energy. He has delivered invited lectures and published papers in reputed institutions and journals. He has specialist expertise in sustainable developments, energy efficiency, energy modelling and building services. He is the managing editor of the International Journal of the Sustainable Built Environment, sponsored by GORD and published by Elsevier.

DIRECTIONS: 1. Head west on Al Luqta Street 2. At the Slope R/A, take 2 nd exit onto Garafat Al Rayyan & Dukhan Highway 3. Go through another smaller R/A 4. Drive past QNCC main building and take next slight right 5. Take 2 nd exit again through another small R/A to the main car park building (enter the 2 nd car park entrance; note that 1 st entrance to car park are bus bays & strictly for buses use only) 6. Once parked in the main car park, either use the lift or escalator and go to the Basement Level 7. Follow the hallway to the link (tunnel) leading to the Ground Level of the Convention building 8. Take escalator to Level 1 (where the big Spider Maman is located) and walk straight to the Reflection Pool through the glass doors 9. Take escalator next to the Reflection Pool Café to Level 2 and look for the Meeting Room number (rooms 201-223 are to the left side; rooms 224-244 are to the right side)
