Florida Native Plant Garden Being Planted At The Belleview Public Library At 9:00 am, Monday, April 21st, A new garden will be blooming at the Belleview Public Library. About ten members of The Florida Native Plant Society, Marion Big Scrub Chapter will be laying out and planting over 300 na- and a few trees. The public is invited to come by and see the project, check out the progress and even help put some plants in the ground. We want as many peoples hands in the dirt as possible, said Lee Schwartz, Belleview Public Library Supervisor. The garden will be low maintenance but there will be opportunities for long term volunteer help. The increase will bring the utility budget out of the red. The average residents monthly bill will increase about $6.45 and the city will The millage rate will remain the same as last year at 3.9912. The residents of Belleview residents will not see an increase unless property values go up then there will be a slight increase. $9,582,650 was approved by the city commission. Public Works has approximately 3 million in up coming projects in the budget. Sewer line extensions on 441 South, repainting of the water tower and Baseline water line relocation. This will be for the design of the parking lot, water park area and retention if needed. 2014 Belleview Freedom Walk Remembering September 11, 2011 An honor guard followed by the Belleview High School AFJROTC leads the way for members of the community and speakers during the Belleivew Freedom Walk. The Walk started at Belleview City Hall, down to Lake Lillian, then to the Belleview Police Depart- Fall Festival The Annual Belleview Fall Festival is hosted by the Belleview/South Marion Chamber of Commerce. Free admission to this family friendly event. Something for everyone - including the return of the Belleview s Got Talent Show and the annual car show. Saturday, September 27th, 10:00 am 2:30 pm, Belleview City Hall Park, 5331 SE Abshier Boulevard (Hwy 441), Belleview. Festival goers can meet and/or shop with many types of vendors, including art and crafts, business and food. Arts and crafts vendors will have disleather and metalwork to jewelry, and much more. The youngsters won t want to miss the kid zone, featuring children s activities in- Masonic Rib Feast Belleview Masonic Lodge 95 will be holdings its 22nd Annual all you can eat Rib Feast on Saturday, October 4, from 11 a.m. until the ribs are gone or 4 p.m. The Lodge is located at 5871 SE Baseline Road, north of CR 25, in Belleview. Dinners are $10 and included, beans, slaw and drink. Desserts will be available from the Order of the Eastern Star. You may eat in or take out. Slabs to go are $15.
