Proper use Your wireless doorbell is intended to send an acoustic and/or optical signal to the receiver when the doorbell button is activated. Do not attempt to modify the device and do not use it for other purposes. Repairs Never try to open and/or repair the appliances yourself. Contact our Service Centre or other suitable specialist workshop to avoid possible risks. Environmental requirements Transmitter The transmitter has a water resistant housing. In optimum conditions, the transmitter has a range of 100 m. This can be reduced by structural conditions. Sources of interference for the transmitter can include: mounting on metallic objects, reinforced concrete, high-frequency interference of any kind, devices operating on neighbouring frequencies, poorly screened computers. 6 Model Number: MD 12213
Receiver Protect the wireless doorbell s receiver from moisture and heat. Avoid placing or mounting the receiver in poorly ventilated areas (such as between shelves or where curtains or furniture can block the vents). Do not allow foreign bodies or liquids to get into the device. Do not expose it to dripping water or spray. Do not place objects that are filled with water, such as vases, on the device. Naked flames such as lit candles must not be placed on the device. Battery information You will need batteries to operate the wireless doorbell. Please note the following advice: Keep batteries away from children. Contact your doctor immediately if a battery is swallowed. Never charge non-rechargeable batteries. Risk of explosion! Never create a short-circuit between the batteries and the connection terminals of the device. Never expose the batteries to excessive heat such as sunlight, fire or similar. Do not dismantle or deform the batteries. Model Number: MD 12213 7
You could injure your hands or fingers or battery fluid could come into contact with your eyes or skin. If this should happen, then rinse the affected areas immediately with a large amount of clean water and contact your doctor immediately. Avoid heavy impacts and vibrations. If necessary, clean the contacts on the battery and appliance before insertion. Always observe the correct polarity. Make sure that the plus (+) and minus (-) poles are correctly inserted to avoid short circuits. Do not mix up new and old batteries or different types of battery. This could cause your appliance to malfunction. In addition, the weaker batteries would discharge too much. Remove spent batteries from the appliance immediately. Remove the batteries from the device if you do not intend to use it for a long period of time. Replace all the old batteries in an appliance with new batteries of the same type. Cover the contacts of the batteries with sticky tape if you want to store or dispose of them. 8 Model Number: MD 12213
