FSAI: Igniting Awareness FIRE & SECURITY ASSOCIATION OF INDIA (FSAI) is a nonprofit organization established in 2002 representing the Fire Protection, Life Safety, Security, Building Automation, Loss Prevention and Risk Management domains. Its primary aims and objectives are to: Foster a spirit of safe living among all citizens of India and inculcate a proactive mind-set towards safety and security at all times. Promote and advance the use of fire safety and security systems. Develop fire safety and security engineering education and awareness. Maintain high ethical standards amongst its members. Igniting Awareness FSAI aims to work closely with the Government and all other stakeholders to enable the Indian Fire and Security industry to reach global pre-eminence with better regulatory framework. A recent report titled India Fire Safety Equipment Market Forecast & Opportunities, 2017 anticipates that the fire safety equipment market in India shall cross USD 4.26 Billion (approx. INR. 23,000 Crore). A similar report India Electronic Security Equipment Market Outlook 2016 estimates the total sales of electronic security equipment to surpass USD 1.4 Billion (approx. INR 7,000 Crore) by 2016. FSAI represents the interests of this industry with an overarching commitment to enhance the safety and security of the citizens of India. FSAI has over 2,500 members including leading 450+ Global and Indian corporates such as Siemens, Honeywell, Bosch, Schneider, Tyco, Assa Abloy, Reliance, L&T, Voltas, Wipro, Bajaj, etc. and large number of top-notch 1,950+ Indian and global professionals including leading Architects, Consultants, Endusers and Students. FSAI has 15 Chapters including Student Chapters across India in the major cities - Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Madhya Pradesh, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Rajasthan and Visakhapatnam. They regularly conduct programs and events for the benefit of the members and spreading awareness about safety and security. FSAI was incorporated as a society with Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Rules 1975 (Tamil Nadu Act of 1975) bearing Registration No.326/2002.

Strategic Initiative Programme - SIP O B J E C T I V E S To entrench Fire and Disaster Management practices in all Educational Institutions, Corporates and Senior Citizens of India so that they react to situation which demand quick thinking without panicking and will remember how a positive attitude can save live in an emergency situation SIP - School Focus The primary purpose of School Focus is to create and foster a safety and security consciousness among school children in the country. Responsible citizens shape a better nation, therefore inculcating awareness amongst children ensures success of our initiative as children are tomorrow s citizens, the future of our nation. We, as an organization believe in taking initiatives to the grass root level and to materialize our goals we have focused on educating children about fire safety and security. We offer this program to various schools wherein FSAI approaches - International Schools, Government Schools, Public Schools and Quasi Government Schools to organize sessions to train and educate school children about fire safety and security. We train students by conducting workshops, mock drills, evacuation training, usage of fire and safety equipments, knowledge about fire accessories etc. The format of the program is designed in such a way that makes it interesting and easily graspable for the Students. Achievement in the last Seven Years Total Number of States - 10 Total Number of Schools - 120 Total Number of Students - 1,06,375 CSR initiative Corporates by associating with FSAI as their CSR activity for School Awareness Programs can help thousands of children learn basic fire safety measures thereby preventing tragedies. SIP - Corporate Training Learning is an ongoing process and developmental in nature. An integrated and systematic training will facilitate more effective learning to ensure gaining of knowledge, skills and developing expertise at all levels in the corporate sector. FSAI has the expertise to enable and support corporate training to be provided for employees of Public Sector units, Insurance Companies, Banks, Hospitals, Hotels, Malls etc. The overall aim of FSAI training is to help impart knowledge, skills and expertise, to Corporate employees required to handle situations, likely to arise due to Fire Hazards, Fire safety and Security issues. This will also inspire innovation, creativity and continuous self-development and to uphold high quality standards for the corporate employees, in their day to day dealing with fire safety & security aspects. SIP - Senior Citizen Program The age group between 60-90 are the most affected people at the time of disaster and mishaps, they are infirm and unable to protect themselves physically. Fire & Security Association of India has started these initiatives with the aim to train all Senior Citizens, Pan India on Fire Safety and Disaster having a broad overview and tips of Safety and Security for, their home, and society. The program includes: Burglary LPG Safety First Aid Disaster Management Technique for self safety Confidence Building Measures for old age Physical Fitness and Mental Alertness Concentration for awakening inner self Mock drill on how to use fire extinguishers S I P

FSAI Achievements India Fire & Security Yatra (IFSY) IFSY-2015, Tall, Smart, Safe Buildings for Smart Cities, was conducted successfully by all the Chapters as planned. The key objectives of the Yatra were: Showcase cutting edge technologies, new products & services from the leading OEMs. Enable intensive knowledge exchange among stakeholders & thought leaders. Initiate mutually beneficial partnerships. Strengthen awareness about Fire Safety & Security. The response, across all locations, saw an overall participation of about 2000 delegates. This was a significant achievement. Road shows were being held for the second time in row by FSAI, across all chapters. Senior Government Officers of State Fire Service Departments actively participated in most of the cities and gave importance to the IFSY Event and appreciated our efforts. FSAI Achievements PACC - Project Heads, Architects & Consultants Conclave FSAI conducted three consecutive PACC. PACC is a largest industry gathering of experts in the business of Safety and Security. The Conclave brought together Eminent Speakers, Head Honcho s, Government Influencers,100 top Consultants, Architects and Project Heads all under one roof. The Conclave is targeted towards building long term business relationship in an informal environment. Fire & Security India Expo - FSIE FSIE is organised by Fire & Security Association of India in collaboration with NürnbergMesse India. The first ever trade expo and multi-dimensional platform that combines solutions for passive, active and organisational Fire Safety and Security Management. Here, official experts, architects, building engineers, members of leading security and fire prevention bodies and other stakeholders from world over will gather to disseminate information, gather knowledge, exchange ideas, exhibit, debate innovative perspectives, solutions and products for fire safety and security. FSIE will be held between February 23-25, 2017 at India Exposition Mart Limited at Greater Noida, New Delhi, one of India s largest indoor exhibition venues. The world class venue is spread across the huge 2,35,000 sq m of floor space that includes 14 exhibition halls and 1800 marts. Knowledge Series Programs As part of our awareness drive, FSAI organizes several Training programs during the year that covers every aspect of Safety and Security - Gas Detection, Fire Suppression, Security Integration, Best measures to be adopted during Installations, Codes and Standards in Safety and Security. These programs are designed to address the training needs of new entrants in our industry, refresher course for Fire and Security professionals in other Industries etc.
