Introduction Honeywell s Model DPS are an addition to Honeywell s general purpose pressure sensors They are rugged, stainless steel, all-welded devices designed to provide consistent performance in a variety of applications CANopen communication protocol: Allows connection to longer cable distances without sacrificing accuracy Reduces wires that need to be connected to the system Simplifies tracking each networked sensor by using unique serial numbers Allows ability to configure update rate between 10 to 250 Hz Mitigates data corruption CiA (CAN in Automation) certified Value to customers: Configurable Durable Accurate Availability and support 3
Configurable Designed for configurability Customers can configure the devices to meet their specific application needs Wide pressure range 10 psi to 10K psi [1 bar to 700 bar or 70 kpa to 70000 kpa] Provides support for many unique applications Multiple pressure engineering units psi, bar, kpa Eliminates having to make mathematical conversions, simplifying use Choice of connectors 5-pin M12 can be used in industrial applications 6-pin Bendix can be used in transportation applications ( = competitive differentiator) = competitive differentiator 4
Configurable 5
Durable Rugged All-welded, 300 series stainless steel and Hastelloy design Allows for use in a wide range of harsh environments Mechanical shock 100 G/11 ms Allows the device to withstand harsh environments IP65 rated Provides protection when used in harsh environments ( = competitive differentiator) 6
Accurate Accuracy options 30 psi ±0.25 %FS or >30 psi ±0.1 %FS or ±0.25 %FS Allows customers to select the accuracy level required for their application Total Error Band ±2 % FS Honeywell specifies Total Error Band, the most comprehensive, clear and meaningful measurement Includes nonlinearity, repeatability, hysteresis and temperature error 7
Availability and Support Fast response on configuration design Dedicated teams and manufacturing processes provide a fast response Global application expertise Experienced application engineers understand the solution required to meet the most exacting application needs 8
Potential Potential Oil and Applications Gas Applications Transportation Construction equipment Rail equipment testing Automotive test benches Industrial General industrial process control Factory automation/industrial equipment Medical Medical equipment systems (i.e., X-ray collimator, MRI scanning, etc.) Aerospace (non-itar) Test and research labs 9
Summary of Value CANopen simplifies use Durable Accurate Configurable Fast response Application expertise 10
