Earth Day Tree Planting Festival Sponsorship Package About Earth Day Hamilton-Burlington We re an incorporated non-profit organization delivering excellent environmental programming since 1996. Our signature events are: Tim Hortons Earth Day Educational Eco-Festival and The Earth Day Community Tree Planting Festival. As Hamilton s premiere tree planting organization, we organize large-scale plantings across the region for the community, for businesses and institutions, and for students. We have planted more than 20,000 trees. Our incorporated name is Hamilton Eco-Action Network. Where and when does your Planting Festival take place? Our Earth Day Tree Planting Festival takes place every spring. Multi and single year planting planting projects have been completed at Bayfront Park, Princess Point, Churchill Park, Fifty Point, and Royal Botanical Gardens Arboretum.

Other Planting Events For the past two years we have coordinated Hamilton s TD Tree Days plantings, beachfront at Confederation Park as well as orchestrated a large planting for Mohawk College Alumni. For multiple years we ve run a large multi-year planting with local high and elementary school students at various locales. Who attends the Earth Day Tree Planting Festival? The Festival attracted up to 1,000 people weather dependant. Businesses, clubs, and people of all ages from the community attend. It is a free event with free shuttles provided. What happens at the Festival? Citizens join together to help enhance and protect the environment by planting trees, doing cleanups and removing invasive species. They also enjoy excellent live entertainment, live wildlife, workshops, exhibits, food, tours, and a variety of fun family activities. What are the goals of the planting festival? To bring citizens of all generations together to work, learn, and have fun as they work toward the common goal of a healthier environment, all of which helps foster a sense of well-being, community spirit and a love of nature. It also gives local environmental organizations as well as green business initiatives a chance to exchange information and ideas with the public, Providing a platform for their messaging.
