PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS FROM BEGINNING TO END BEFORE STARTING YOUR INSTALLATION. If you are still having problems after completely reviewing these instructions, please give us a call. If you call, the first thing we will ask is if you have you read the instructions. THIS TECHNOLOGY IS EXPERIMENTAL AND DANGEROUS It is very important that you do exactly what the instructions say. These units are not toys because the hydroxy gas is very explosive. DO NOT SMOKE OR USE AROUND OPEN FLAMES The Hybrid Magic HHO Unit will not perform correctly and will damage your vehicle if you deviate from the installation and maintenance information contained in these instructions. We believe we are making and selling a high quality, efficient and safe product. However, we are still dealing with an experimental device and the buyer should always exercise caution. SAFETY FIRST: As with any electrical installation, always first disconnect the (-) negative and (+) positive battery terminals on the vehicle. This will insure that you do not short anything out during installation. No matter how fast the installation goes, you should leave both battery terminals disconnected for at least 45 minutes to an hour. This is very important because it also clears the vehicle s Engine Control Unit (ECU) or learned memory. Most late model vehicles have an ECU that learns the typical operating conditions that it operates in. When you restart your vehicle with HHO gas running into the vehicle's intake, from the very beginning the vehicle s ECU will begin to learn its new operating conditions. INSTALLATION OF COMPONENTS 1. Locate a suitable location to mount the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit in a well-ventilated place under the hood of your vehicle. Using the mounting bracket provided (feel free to bend, cut or modify as needed for your particular vehicle), mount the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit where it will sit in a level position and can be easily serviced. Typically the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit is mounted on the fire wall, in front of or near the radiator, behind the front bumper, etc. The Hybrid Magic HHO Unit should always be placed at a level below your intended location for the Water Reservoir. NEVER, install the unit inside the passenger compartment of a vehicle. 2. Find a location to mount the Water Reservoir where best isolated from engine heat. Make sure that you mount the main reservoir level, upright and placed at least 4 above the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit. The Water Reservoir uses gravity to provide a consistent flow of electrolyte to your Hybrid Magic HHO Unit. This location should be accessible to check and top off the water level as needed. 3. Find a location to mount the Dryer Tank (the small one) (HFG 12) at a location between the Water Reservoir and where you plan to inject the hydroxyl gas into your engine. It is preferred the Dryer Tank be mounted slightly above the Water Reservoir. By doing so, the Dryer Tank will drain any water back into the Water Reservoir when you turn the engine off. 4. The HFG 24 Kit contains a Scrubber Tank, the smaller of the two. It is preferred the Scrubber Tank be mounted level or slightly below the Water Reservoir. The Scrubber Tank filters the HHO gas and collects any unwanted condensation that may occur in the line. Check the

Scrubber Tank daily (if a commercial vehicle) or during routine maintenance when filling your vehicle with fuel. If the water level in the Scrubber Tank exceeds 60% full, drain as needed. 5. Find a location to mount the 50 Amp Relay(s) in a place under the hood of the vehicle close to your Hybrid Magic HHO Unit where it can be secured and easily serviced. The back firewall or side fenders work well. Use the enclosed self tapping metal screw to secure it. 6. Find a suitable location to mount the 50 amp circuit breaker(s). The circuit breaker should be installed on the positive (red) wire (see diagram) near your connection to the battery, either before or after the Relay but before the connection to the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit. Install the toggle switch(s). You may locate the switch wherever you feel is appropriate. Most people install the switch somewhere on the lower dash below the instrument panel. Use the Green 14 gauge wire to connect Switch and Relay to a switchable electrical source. 7. Next find a location to mount the amp meter(s). We recommend the amp meter be located under the hood near your Hybrid Magic HHO Unit. If you so choose, you may also mount it on or near your instrument panel. INSTALLATION OF TUBING Your Hybrid Magic HHO Unit has 3-3/8 HB Black Connectors used to attach the clear plastic tubing to. The Water Reservoir has 5-3/8 Black Elbows or Straight fittings to attach the clear plastic tubing. Your kit is supplied with a sufficient length of 3/8 (inside diameter) tubing. Ensure the tubing is free of kinks and sharp corners allowing the HHO gas to flow freely. SEE Diagrams Below The top fitting on the Water Reservoir, connects to the Air Filter Box before the filter. In the event condensation occurs in the gas line tubing, any water or electrolyte will drain into and out of the Air Filter Box. The fitting at the bottom of the Water Reservoir connects to the bottom fitting on the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit. The fitting on the side of the Water Reservoir connects to the top fitting on the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit.

The fitting on the top of the Water Reservoir goes to the bottom fitting on the Scrubber / Dryer Tank. The top fitting coming out of the Scrubber / Dryer goes to the air filter box on your vehicle before the air filter. (In the event condensation occurs in the HHO gas line tube, any water or electrolyte will drain into and out of the Air Filter Box and not into your engine. Ensure the tubing is free of kinks and sharp corners to allow the HHO gas to flow freely. Do NOT drop the Water Reservoir or Scrubber Tank. There may be a fragile gas scrubber inside it unique to our system. Drill a 7/16 hole into your air filter box where HHO gas can be easily injected into your air filter and air intake. Screw in the ¼ NPT Black Elbow into the hole and seal with silicon or any other acceptable adhesive. Connect the tubing to your air box and cut to length. Attach the other end of the tubing to the top fitting on the Water Reservoir. When attaching tubing to the fittings, lubricate the fittings and tubing with water for easier installation. When pushing the tubing on to the fittings, support fitting from the opposite direction to ensure you don t break the fitting seals on the Water Reservoir, Scrubber Tank or Hybrid Magic HHO Unit.

Ensure Check Valve flows towards the Scrubber Tank If improperly installed, the Check Valve will rupture the Water Reservoir and /or Hybrid Magic HHO Unit (s)

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS NOTES: Any loose connections will possibly cause a fire, so make sure your connections are firm. Follow the enclosed electrical connections diagram for an easy to understand setup. May we suggest you begin the electrical installation at the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit. When you have completed all electrical connections, re-connect your battery to your vehicle. We recommend the Ammeter is mounted near your Hybrid Magic HHO Unit and not in the cab of your vehicle. This makes it easier to adjust the electrolyte mixture as needed with your engine running. Mount the On/Off Switch inside your vehicle. This will act as a manual switch if there are times when you don t want to use the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit, if you find it s not working properly and you need to wait to service it, or in the event of an emergency.

Find or make a hole through the vehicle firewall. The hole will allow you to run wire(s) for the On/Off Switch(s) into the cab of your vehicle. Usually an existing hole maybe near where the steering wheel passes through the firewall. Make sure the On/Off Switch is connected between the 50 Amp Relay and an accessory that is turned on/off when your vehicle is started. This type of connection can be found in the vehicle fuse panel. Use the green 14 gauge wire provided. Another option is to attach the 50 Amp Relay to the on/off wire from the oil pressure sending unit. Once oil pressure is applied to the engine, the signal will also turn the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit on. Mount the 50 Amp Circuit Breaker(s) between your battery connection and Relay(s).. The Relay may contain a 5 th /center prong is not used to operate the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit. FILLING THE Hybrid Magic HHO Unit Now it s time to fill the unit and make HHO gas! But first let s talk about the Potassium Hydroxide more commonly known as KOH, you will be adding to distilled water. Always wear gloves and eye protection when handling KOH. Don t Take Any Chances!

Buy two (2) gallons of DISTILLED WATER, No tap water, salt water or rainwater! To mix the electrolyte, pour 9 cups (2 1/4 quarts) of distilled water into an open, plastic container. From the KOH/Potassium Hydroxide container (supplied) gradually add only 1/3 cup of KOH while stirring into the distilled water. (The remainder is for later use in fine tuning and when servicing the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit. When you add the KOH a mild reaction will occur causing the water to become warm. REPEAT: Do not pour the entire contents of the KOH bottle in at once. Just 1/3 cup Carefully stir the KOH until dissolved. Set the mixture aside allowing it to cool. You now have the electrolyte mixture to create HHO gas. So we ll now refer to it as electrolyte. After the electrolyte has cooled down, gradually pour the electrolyte into the Water Reservoir keeping the level below the hose fitting on the side of the water reservoir. The water will run down thru the bottom hose and begin to fill the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit. It may take a few minutes for the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit to completely fill with electrolyte. When there is water in the hoses on both sides of the cell, you will know it is full. After the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit is filled, you may need to add more distilled water to the Water Reservoir until half full. DO NOT OVERFILL! Do not fill the Water Reservoir over half full. We need this open space to provide a splash space For the HFG 24 Model, fill the Scrubber Tank no more than ½ full with distilled water only. This tank captures condensation that may occur in the tubing from the Water Reservoir. Check the Scrubber Tank periodically removing any water when the level is over ½ full. For Winter Operation Increase KOH content to 2/3 cup for every 4 cups of distilled water and 5 cups of Isopropyl Alcohol. In the HFG 24 Model, a 50/50 mix of water and Isopropyl Alcohol should be used. The winter mix should provide freeze protection to 10F. Note: The alcohol in the winter electrolyte mix will dissipate more quickly than the distilled water. Check electrolyte levels more frequently. FINAL INSPECTION Inspect the entire installation visually. Make sure all hose connections are secure and that the unit has no leaks, and all electrical connections are tight. Have you re-connected the battery? SYSTEM TEST We need to test your Hybrid Magic HHO Unit to make sure it is working properly and making HHO gas. Also test your On/Off switch to confirm it s functioning properly. Start your engine and turn on the toggle switch. It has its own internal light that will be on when it is on. Within a few seconds the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit should begin to start generating HHO gas.

Note HHO gas and water should be flowing from the top hose of the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit into the bottom of the Reservoir Tank. This is normal. The electrolyte and HHO gas are separated inside the Water Reservoir. If the water in the water reservoir starts to bubble that means your unit is producing HHO gas and you installed the unit correctly. (Congratulations!!) If the water in the reservoir is not bubbling and you don t detect water and HHO gas exiting the top of the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit, re-check your electrical connections. If you cannot get the water in the water reservoir bubbling, call our support line. Now, let's check the toggle switch! With the engine still running turn off the toggle switch. The bubbling in the water reservoir should stop if the switch is hooked up properly. To confirm, turn the toggle switch back on again and see if the water starts to bubble again. Hopefully everything worked as planned and we can continue on to the next step. If not, re-check your electrical diagram that we sent you in the installation instructions. Something is wrong! Within a short time you will begin to notice that your engine sounds different. It will run smoother and quieter. The RPM may be unstable for a couple minutes, but this is normal - the HHO is starting to modify the fuel mixture in the combustion chamber. Your engine is adjusting to the changes. NOTE: When you first receive your Hybrid Magic HHO Unit the internal plates are not completely conditioned. You will find as you run the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit for longer, your HHO production will increase. It could take up to 3 tanks of fuel to achieve maximum HHO gas output. ELECTROLYTE ADJUSTMENT (PLEASE REVIEW) The Electrolyte Solution adjustment is the single most important factor to ensure that your Hybrid Magic HHO Unit is producing the most HHO gas from your system. Checking your amp meter, your Hybrid Magic HHO Unit will use approximately 18 to 20 amps when you start your engine from cold. The water in the unit will warm up after running / driving your car for about 20 minutes. For optimal HHO output, 30 to 35 amps is approximately where you want the Amp Meter to register when the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit reaches its operating temperature. You have to experiment to get the correct amount of electrolyte, just watch your amp meter to make sure you're not drawing too many amps. In the event you exceed 50 amps, your circuit breaker will cut all power to the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit and reset. You will then be running on gasoline only until the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit electrolyte is adjusted. If after driving your car for an hour, if the amp meter reading is still low, add 1 more teaspoon of straight KOH to the water reservoir. Mix the KOH in the Water Reservoir until dissolved. Let your Hybrid Magic HHO Unit adjust for at least an hour of everyday driving. If the Amp Meter is reading more than 35 amps, drain portion of electrolyte from the Water Reservoir and replace with distilled water only. (A turkey baster is great for removing electrolyte from the tank.) NOTE: When adding more KOH, it will eventually increase the operating temperature in the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit and increase amperage. When your operating temperature is achieved, the KOH

electrolyte could draw up to 2 times more Amperage. For example, if your Amp Meter is reading 5 amps when cold, it could draw up to 10 amps after the unit reaches operating temperature. Extremely Important Using the wrong mixture and/or type of Electrolyte will damage your system. It is Important to understand that Baking Soda, Sodium Hydroxide (Lye) or Citric Acid, Salt will not produce HHO gas in the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit. No other Electrolyte Solution may be used. Use only Potassium Hydroxide. Potassium Hydroxide can be purchased from us on our website at www.hybridmagic.com MAINTENANCE After completing a 4 week break-in period, you will need to completely drain and flush (low pressure) the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit. Be sure to wear rubber gloves and eye protection when working with electrolyte. To refill follow directions for mixing KOH and distilled water as indicated earlier. Thereafter, drain, flush and replace the electrolyte every 3 months. It's all very easy to do: (make sure to put a bucket under the unit to catch the old water coming out.) Remove the lower hose from the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit and let the water drain out. With a garden hose, wash the Water Reservoir and allow water to flow through the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit. Before refilling the Water Reservoir, pour a gallon of distilled water in the water tank and let it flush thru the unit. Replace the hose. Refill your Hybrid Magic HHO Unit and Water Reservoir as indicated earlier in these instructions. Remember to watch the amp meter to adjust the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit to the optimal amperage operating range when warmed up. The Water Reservoir should be checked at least once a week or with every other fill up. Add an appropriate amount of distilled water to the water reservoir to fill to 60% only. You may notice a drop in amperage over the course of a few refills. This is normal. Occasionally you will need to add a pinch or two of KOH. This will vary from one unit to the next, so trial and error will be necessary in the beginning. For the HFG 24 Model, fill the Scrubber Tank to ½ full only with clean distilled water only. This tank captures condensation that may occur in the tubing from the Water Reservoir. Check the Scrubber Tank periodically removing any water when the level is over ½ full. The User is responsible for the operation of this Unit. We do not warranty the improper use or installation of this unit. CAUTION: Never have the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit turned on unless the vehicle s engine is started and running! If you have the Hybrid Magic HHO Unit turned on without the engine running, the unit will make HHO gas the entire time. The HHO gas can explode in your engine s air intake when starting the vehicle! Note: The information contained in these instructions is for educational purposes only and cannot substitute for the advice of a professional mechanic or authorized dealer. Don't

attempt to repair your car or install the unit yourself if you don't have proper knowledge and tools. You can be injured and or your vehicle could be damaged.
