Urban Renaissance Agency, Japan KOSHIGAYA LAKE TOWN PROJECT Smart & Sustainable Urban Life with the Lake The features of our Project The Lake is crucial for heat-island phenomena. The Lake must open to citizens for healthy urban life. Environmental technologies are indispensable for Eco-Friendly Community. 1

The features of our Project Maximum community involvement is key for Low Carbon Emission Society. This project is not a simple waterfront housing development but an innovative ideal Compact City. The Lake upstream The Flood-Control Reservoir upstream Protecting the entire region from flooding disasters Contribution to safety and security for the residents Provision of open space and greenery to the public downstream Utilisation of the Flood-control Reservoir Topic1 To revive the image of rural landscape as the "City of Water" in natural area around the biotope where the water-side environment and human activities co-exist in harmony.
