FOR YOUR SAFETY! Please read through the instruction manual before using the LUX luna to ensure safe and correct use of the appliance.! Use the LUX luna exclusively for the removal of dust in household areas.! Do not use the appliance on damp or wet floors or on any other liquid material. Do not vacuum any liquids or moist dirt, hot ash or cigarette ends.! To protect against risk of electrical shock, always switch off the appliance prior to any adaptation, cleaning, or maintenance work. Remove the electrical plug from the socket. Never unplug the appliance by pulling the electric cord.! Do not clean your vacuum cleaner or any of the electrical accessories with water or any liquid agent (risk of an electrical shock!).! Use LUX original parts exclusively.! Never run the appliance over the electric cord as it could damage it.! Never vacuum body parts with the LUX luna or its accessories. Never leave small children unattended with the appliance ready for operation.! Operate the LUX luna solely under the mains voltage indicated on the type-plate, as otherwise the appliance could be damaged.! Should you discover any damage to the appliance or the electric cord, please contact your nearest LUX Customer Service immediately for examination, repair or adjustment.! This appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons unless they have been adequately supervised by a responsible person to ensure that they can use the appliance safely. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Lux electrical appliances correspond to the relevant safety provisions. Repairs to electrical appliances may only be done by qualified personnel. Inexpert repairs or improper use can lead to significant hazards for the user. Environmentally-oriented production: In the production of our products, we attach importance to the protection of the environment. We use environmentally friendly plastics and colors. We intentionally avoid flame-retardant agents harmful to the environment. We use non-solvents adhesives, unbleached paper or safe plastic for our filter bags. Recyclable materials: The materials used in our products are almost completely recyclable. We refrain extensively from the use of PVC. In the construction of our products, we are concerned about pure grade materials: The materials used can later be separated with low energy consumption. To make recycling even easier, we have marked most of our plastic parts.

ASSEMBLING THE LUX luna Connecting The Hose Attach the hose to the socket of the LUX luna until it can be heard to click into place. To detach the hose, press the two release buttons and lift it off. Connecting The Extension Tube Insert the extension tube into the handle of the hose. Connecting The Combination Nozzle Insert the extension tube into the joint of the combination nozzle. Both devices are now ready for operation.

Using The Combination Nozzle The combination nozzle allows cleaning all surfaces from hard floors to carpets, rugs and mats. Set the carpet position on the nozzle to make vacuuming carpets easier. Likewise, use the hard floor position for smooth operation when vacuuming hard floors. Connecting To The Mains Extend the power cord and connect the electrical plug to the mains. To rewind the cord, slightly pull it back (2.5 cm) and release it. The cord will rewind automatically. Switching On And Off Start and stop the LUX luna by pressing the on/off switch lightly with your toe. For Your Safety:! To protect against risk of electrical shock, always switch off the appliance prior to any adaptation, cleaning, or maintenance work. Remove the electrical plug from the socket. Never unplug the appliance by pulling the electric cord. Carrying & Storing Use the hand grip on top of the appliance to carry the LUX luna at home. Alternatively, carry the appliance using the recessed grip located at the bottom front of the appliance. Always store your LUX luna in a dry space at room temperature with the power switched off, the electrical plug disconnected and the power cord rewound.

APPLICATIONS Connecting Accessories Insert the desired accessory into the handle. Textile Nozzle You can free textile fabrics as well as upholstery, curtains and mattresses from hairs, threads and fuzz using the textile nozzle. If needed, connect the extension tube between the handle and the desired nozzle to enhance your reach. Crevice Nozzle The crevice nozzle thoroughly vacuums dust from seams and gaps, in upholstery and mattresses and between furniture items.

Dusting Brush The dusting brush is easy-to-use, versatile, and effective. With the dusting brush, you can dust furniture and books pictures or mirror frames stereos, TVs and other profiled surfaces.

Blowing Adapter And Spray Bottle The spray bottle can be attached to your LUX luna in order to disperse water. Connect the spray bottle to the handle. Mount the hose on the outlet vent of the vacuum cleaner by means of the adaptor attached. The spray bottle is dispensed by closing the two pinholes on top of the main body. Close the holes by applying finger pressure on it. The amount and size distribution of the spray droplets can be adjusted by turning the ring in front of the nozzle. For Your Safety:! Do not use the spray bottle with corrosive or combustible liquids.! Do not use the spray bottle while vacuuming. Only use the spray bottle in combination with the blowing adaptor attached to the outlet of the appliance.! Always hold the spray bottle upright.

CHANGING THE FILTERS General Note If you do not change the filters, in particular the filter bag, the LUX luna will no longer have its full suction power performance. Filter Bag In order to change one of the various filters, pull the yellow release handle and open the appliance hood. Take out the full filter bag. Afterwards insert a new filter bag making sure that the holding plate fits into the respective recesses of the appliance. Close the appliances hood until it can be heard to click into place. Please Note If no filter bag is inserted, the appliance hood cannot be closed. Always use Lux original filter bags to ensure optimum performance of your appliance. Motor Protection Filter The motor protection filter is made of fleece. It protects the motor in case the filter bag is leaking and further filters the air from small particles. In order to change the motor protection filter, take out the filter bag first. Press the upper flap of the holding grid. Pull the grid out and remove the filter pad. Insert a new filter pad into the grid with the printing facing outwards. Push the grid back into its original position and hook in the upper flap. Reinsert the filter bag. When you have closed the hood, the appliance is ready for operation. After inserting, the motor protection filter has an effective life span of one year, depending on usage.

Motor Outlet Filter The motor outlet filter further collects smallest dust particles and filters the exhaust air. In order to change the motor outlet filter, open the appliance hood and press the flap located at the side of the green cover grid. Insert a new motor outlet filter, and cover it by pressing the green cover grid into position. Then close the hood. The appliance is now ready for operation. After inserting, the motor outlet filter has an effective life span of one year, depending on usage. Do not wash the motor protection filter and the motor outlet filter. They may be dusted off. If blocked, replace the entire set. The motor outlet filter and the motor protection filter can be disposed with your household waste. Dovina Fragrance Chip Press the Dovina fragrance chip on the plastic plate of the cover grid of the motor outlet filter.

Using an electrical suction hose (optional extra) In addition to the standard hose, it is also possible to connect an electrical suction hose to the appliance. This electrical hose gives you the opportunity to connect electrical appliances to your vacuum cleaner. Connecting the electrical suction tube: Push the electrical suction tube on to the connection section of the hand grip till the tube locks into position. Note: To remove the electrical suction tube, push the unlocking button located at the end of the electrical suction hose and pull the connected sections apart. Switching ON and OFF: After your LUX luna has been connected to the power supply, by pressing the on/off switch lightly, the green operating mode light (Power) illuminates on the appliance. You can change the power levels of your LUX luna by using the slide switch on the electrical suction hose. This slide switch provides a secure selection of one of the four suction power levels. Select the appropriate power level between A and 3. Performance Level Type Of Floor A Automatic rugs carpets 1 rugs carpets fitted carpets 2 heavy soiled fitted carpets 3 hard floors above-floor areas special carpets (needled felt, looped carpets) Should it be difficult to move the nozzle over your carpets, you have perhaps selected a power level that is too high. Please, reduce the power on the Lux Luna to the level 1.
