When the compressed air temperature is too high. When the compressed air flow rate is too high. When the ambient temperature is too high. When the dryer is drawing in high temperature air that is discharged from an air compressor or other dryer. Since the auto drain of the 3 to 75 series is designed in such a way that the valve remains open unless the air pressure rises to 22 psi (0.15 MPa) or higher, air will blow out from the drain discharge port when the air compressor starts up until the pressure increases.
