basket features Several unique basket features are available for convenience and drying efficiency. Perforated wet bins are used to enhance preheating and allow visual inspection of the grain flow. The low 14' 6" height with wet bin allows the dryer to fit in places others can't, as well as improve the capacity 0.094 (3/32") galvanized or stainless steel perforated screens. 0.050" galvanized steel small grain perforated screens. 14" grain columns for maximum capacity and even, efficient drying Perforated wet bin comes standard on 16' to 26' dryers (optional on 8' to 14'). COMPETITOR COMPONENTS fans & heaters The high efficiency, one-piece fan and heater utilizes only low speed, low noise fans, while providing optimum heated air flow for every drying application. All units use fiberglass reinforced polypropylene fan blades that feature an extremely low starting load, high air flow across a wide static pressure range, precise balance and quiet operation. The Optimizer Blue Burn System is standard on all LP models. Versatile on/off or high/low cycling assures energy efficient burner operation for all fuel mixes. An Electronic Ignition System is used to monitor the burner and a view window is provided to observe burner operation. In addition, the Series 2000 control allows monitoring and controlling of plenum of drying. The wet bin comes standard on 16'-26' dryers and is an available option on 8'-14' dryers. Wide 14" grain columns hold the maximum amount of grain while assuring even, efficient drying from the inside to the outside of the column. The plenum also has an air mixing chamber to mix the air and heat, and to shield the grain columns from direct contact with the burner flame. Standard grain sampler. Large 15" wide door for access to unload auger. Column access doors allow for easy, fast column unloading if necessary, and access to meter rolls. Clean out doors allow easy cleaning of bottom auger. Each Competitor Series dryer comes with the grain sampler as a standard feature. This enables the user to safely obtain a dry grain sample. Adjustable gates regulate grain flow and allow manual column emptying. Heavy auger with 1/4" flighting for longer life. Light weight, high efficiency fan blades are used placing less stress on the motor at startup. An adjustable pitch allows it to achieve the highest possible airflow. GSI's Airstream moisture control is the ultimate in even moisture regulation. Sensing probes throughout the grain columns monitor temperature, thereby determining moisture, and adjusting the grain flow as necessary utilizing a 2-speed high low system. The computerized controls start all dryer fan, load and unload motors sequentially and switch Grain sampler with moisture sensor. positioning is monitored in the staged batch mode for proper placement.

100 SERIES FEATURES control boxes The computerized controls are housed in an all galvanized control box that features double sealed doors and no-weld construction. All dryer operations can be viewed through UV protected safety glass. All electronics are extensively protected against electrical spikes and surges. It is completely designed to be the ultimate protection for computerized components in a rugged grain drying environment. The control box is mounted on vertical rails, making adjustment of its height possible depending on the height of the dryer after installation. Branch circuit breakers are used in all voltages and control transformer wiring for the 110V control circuit and 220V SCR drive circuit are separated on all 440V dryers to prevent power surges from unstable power supplies. High quality compression terminals are used for all motor connections as well as computer control circuits. To insure safe, reliable operation, we also include a ground rod in each dryer for proper grounding of the dryer. outer screen options Double galvanized 3-piece steel dryer screens (G165, 2 ounce nominally applied galvanizing) are used for increased protection from the elements. Small grains, 0.050" perforated galvanized screens are also available. Optional stainless steel bolts, nuts and outer screens can also provide for the utmost in corrosion resistance. emergency cooling All Airstream dryers have an emergency cooling mode. This enables an Airstream dryer to run only the fans whenever a grain or plenum high limit safety has caused a shutdown. Whenever a shutdown occurs, an emergency cooling mode can be initiated that will run only the fans to allow the high limit to cool and reset safeties to normal operating condition. Once started, the fans will run for five minutes and then stop, allowing the operator to restart the dryer providing safeties have returned to normal.

pressure switch An air switch is mounted on the front of the dryer to read air pressure in the plenum instead of airflow from the fan. This provides a more reliable proof of airflow than the typical sail switches or interconnects. Fan housing temperature limit, vaporizer temperature limit, grain temperature high limits, grain discharge and flame detection are all monitored as well. large plenum clean out door sealer For easy access to the unload auger and metering rolls a large plenum clean out door with sealing strips was added to prevent air pressure and heat loss into the unload chamber. 8" flight All auger flighting is standardized to eight inch diameter and 1/4" ribbon. consistent grain drying The 100 Series dryers feature custom designed air mix chambers which thoroughly mix immediate burner heat with ambient air creating an even drying temperature in the plenum chamber throughout the front, back and sides. An optional fill auger distribution pan is also available if adverse harvest conditions result in trash filled wet grain. The pan helps distribute fines in the top of the dryer allowing unobstructed airflow and uniform grain movement throughout the dryer. out of grain (unload cleanout) The computer knows the difference between a safety that opened indicating a problem with the dryer and a shutdown that occurs during normal operation. For instance, if the out of grain timer shuts down the dryer this is not looked at as a safety hazard. So, before the dryer completely shuts down, the computer will first allow the unload auger and any take away augers to run long enough to clean themselves out. The amount of time they will run is determined by the setting of the unload time delay. GSI s dryers are manufactured in a 130,000 square foot facility located in Newton, Illinois USA auxiliary auger overloads Auxiliary auger overloads are provided for an additional load and unload auger up to 7.5 horsepower.
